Living room/dining room furniture placement help.
Comments (12)I moved some things around and I think I like it better. I know the rug is too small and it shouldn't be "floating" but I don't want a new one until we get the other changes done. I moved the dresser into the dining room and hung (probably too high but couldn't convince 6'3" hubby to lower it and he had a point about being out of reach of the tornado. haha) the sign and pictures that had been on the mantle in the dining room. We also took off the ridiculous trim board they had up because we will be replacing the slider soon. So many things in this house like that silliness. I organized most of the books and moved the bookshelf. And grabbed a few canvases (I know they are small but can't remember where we left my big one) I did the flower, my dad painted the one on the right in Vietnam in '68. We need to fix the coffee table my dad built that's in the garage, I'll put it in front of the sofa, it's a little under 6'long, so it might be technically too big but, again, it's what I have. How'd I do?...See Moreliving room design for narrow room
Comments (15)Would family like table and chairs by the end wall [65"] Cheap idea for curtains not your question.... each 1 for each 100"W, 1 for each window and 2 for side wall's window. "Weighted hem and unlined 100-inch-by-96-inch panel is made from 100% polyester that is easy to wipe clean and thick enough to keep the light out. Its wide grommets make it simple to slide open or shut." https://www.houzz.com/products/neutral-gray-grommet-doublewide-blackout-curtain-single-panel-100x96-prvw-vr~132700550 https://www.houzz.com/products/oriental-weavers-highlands-gray-blue-area-rug-6613a-7-10x10-10-prvw-vr~151744605...See MoreHelp! Comments (3)So this is a sofa with a chaise. Is this your furniture or the previous owner's furniture? You're right to be concerned about blocking the walkway. I don't see that giving the long wall over to the TV is the right call for this space. Are you prepared to think outside the box for this room? What is the dimension of the room?...See MoreHelp with living room furniture placement
Comments (2)TV? It looks like the opening at the top should be further left. That makes room for the TV there. L shaped seating. Shown in this concept: Sofa/loveseat, two poofs, round coffee table, end table (lamp not shown), TV on a console table, area rug, tall plant. I did not measure the pieces so adjust size and postion. This concept swaps in a recliner or easy chair/ottoman. The TV is further to the right. A bookcase or shelves would be nice somewhere. If there's no TV these would still work....See MoreBeverlyFLADeziner
