Help with laundry counter!

Tile selection can’t be changed so please don’t ask me too, lol. I have two quartz options; one is labeled cool neutral and the other warm/cool neutral.

The cabinets are SW drift of mist.

The backsplash is a warm/cool nuetral subway

The floor is a checkerboard pattern, both marble. The white marble has tones of taupe and grey veining.

I know these pics don’t do a ton of justice but I have decision fatigue and looking for outside opinions on mixing warm and cool neutrals. Hardware will be polished nickel and it’s in a laundry room. Thanks in advance!

The countertop samples are lying flat side by side on the larger floor samples. Last pic is backsplash with countertop options. left or right?

Your cabinets and hang bar setup look great! I agree there is no need to tile there. If you absolutely want to do something, you could put up wallpaper. But this is a laundry room and paint is really just a fine surface. To be honest, I had just a washable matte paint in my laundry room for years... I changed the color every 5 years or so just for fun, but the paint was just fine :) Oh, I also have two probably 12 x 12 canvas prints of flowers that I really like. I hang them in the laundry above the washer/dryer :) Great job!

Formica is a heat resistant, wipe-clean, plastic laminate of paper or fabric with melamine resin. This product was pretty standard in most homes for countertops in years past. Then with the popularity of stone, it was used less and less. You can find samples of formica in any box store near you. The cost is minimal compared to stone, although the look can resemble quartz or granite and does not have the panache stone has.

I like that gray sparkle quartz. I've seen it in person and it's beautiful. try and find a remnant if you don't need that much. if not, look for pre-fab countertops. you can buy a 6' or 8' long piece for under 500. then just get someone to cut it for you Here's one at my stone place in the black sparkle. I love this one too this is a porcelain tile that looks like the cement. easier to care for. they also have a quartz slab that looks like real concrete.

We have Ikea cabinets in our utility room which has our laundry and hot water heater. We also used their laminate countertops--no pictures since I'm at work, but they've held up without any issues for the past 16 years. I make soap, start my seeds, etc. down there and those counters have seen some action. If you drop anything heavy., it'll dent enough that you'll see the wood material below but it would require some force. I'd go with something very interesting in the room, either a cabinet color or floor tile that will make you happy every time you see it.
