I cant say that it is very different from the love I feel for my daughter and sons. But, there is a special happiness from knowing our family is expanding to another generation. Our three kids are now 37, 34 (DD) and 29. We privately wondered if we would ever be blessed with grandchildren. The two boys (I should probably call them men at this point) are still light years from marriage. We are hoping DD and SIL will have another. He is from a family of four kids and his sister is having a fourth child, so SIl’s family culture is for larger families. . Fingers crossed!

Halloween, October 2000 This is my friend Paul wearing a costume that I made for him. He wanted to be half Elton John and half Eminem. I do not have the original digital image - this is a scanning of a print that I had made of the original digital photo. He provided the fabric (clothes) for the right side, and I made the left side, using new materials, except for the silver lamé shirt, which I already had but which no longer fit me. ETA: The photo seems to have disappeared, and so I reloaded. I have Paul's permission to post this photo! I had to resize the photo because the resolution was 300 dpi from the scan. Photo still will not post, even after being resized to 72 dpi. Photo does not show up for me on Houzz when using Firefox, but it will show up on Gardenweb using Chrome.
