Why are you replacing with triple sliding with double (not single)? I am you have thought through this but.... What if you replaced it with standard single door with large glass area (since you have decided to bite the bullet and replace door and spend the money).... I think this will be fine since you have access to the "deck" from the sliding door in the living room. So you still have double access to the deck. Sliding double door versus single door has the exact same access width. The only difference is the amount of light coming in. I think you have enough light that you can do this. I would not do any uppers between the frig and sink to open up the room a little. You could move the frig to that wall, so you have frig, sink, then range on the L going from left to right. This will give you more landing around the stove. I think you will still have enough room for a table in the eating area. Visually, if you are running the cabinets to the ceiling, you need trim that is as wide if not slightly wider than the stiles of the cabinets. Even if the crown is simple in detail, you still need a little more "weight" to balance the cabinets than what is drawn. If you want more modern clean line look (which would not look good with your 6 panel doors), then you can use slab or very plain doors with minimal trim.

I was imagining the scenario where one of your kids lives here as a married couple for a year, or two… or more??? 😬 Here is an idea I played around with. So yes, this kitchen is bigger then the other nook ideas. But, this kitchen idea is based on my personal experience of my husband and I living in a 450 sq ft tiny house for almost 3 years. Maybe for your kids’ lifestyle, this kitchen is way overkill. But for us, the kitchen appliance sizes, food storage, shower size, and space for our bed was what was most important to us to function in a tiny house, I know what you are thinking…. No! The guests need to access the bathroom without having to go through the bedroom area. I get it! I designed my tiny home based on that very scenerio. But from my experience, whenever I had guests over, they always wanted to see the whole space. They are facinated by it. I end up showing them everything, including my bedroom. I just make my bed and clean up any random clutter. My advice is… do not design the space for the once or twice a year scenario that someone stops by unexpectedly and says, oh hey, can I use your bathroom? You panic because you haven’t made the bed! Lol! Hmm, I did not do the mesurements on a queen size bed fitting. So may need to rearrange the bedroom / bath area??? 🤔

Is gray the right color? I hate trends - they make things that are perfectly fine choices suddenly become taboo. I don't pick my neutrals based on trends and I encourage people I help with color selection not to pick colors based on trends. With a new build, where you don't need to be concerned with existing colors I would encourage you to think about the colors that you love. Most of us have a handful of colors that we are drawn to. We pick art and area rugs and bedding and shower curtains and clothing that has some common thread. I just bought a couple of new coverlets (70% off sale at cuddledown). I didn't think about the colors when I ordered them. I liked them and I like to change my bedding about every 6 weeks, rotating though different looks. My spare room and master both have queen sized beds, so bedding is interchangeable. (I admit my weakness - not a minimalist when it comes to bedding or dishes and I own at least a dozen different sets of bedding). Both came and I took them into my spare room to see how the colors worked. I spotted a piece of art I recently acquired and thought OMG - this is perfect. The second bedspread works with the walls, but will be even better when I get my master painted. Walls will be a muted purple. I love blue greens and purples. I also like deep wine reds, which work well as an accent with all the purple and teals. This is the last purse that I bought And this is my favorite piece of décor in my home The neutrals that I use in my home are taupe. That mysterious color between pink beige and violet gray. It works with my colors. Walls and flooring are not meant to be the main event, they are the backdrop for all the things you own. Will your choices be the perfect backdrop for the things you have bought or will buy for your home simply because you love the colors? That is what makes a neutral good or bad, not how popular it is with the general public.

Why do you need 4 fridges? So your prep sink is on the top wall, and cleanup sink on the island? Where will you store dishes? I have that setup and it works perfectly. My dishwasher is on one side of the sink and my drawers with all my silverware and dishes on the other side of the sink. I may also want to offset the sink so that the sink and dishwasher are not directly across from the cooktop. That's what I have with 48" aisles and it works fine because it's offset a bit. I can't read any dimensions, but I can tell you that two people cannot sit at the island as shown - the knees of the folks at the corner take up the same space. Yes and the other issue is that you need 60" between the edge of the island and your sofa. It doesn't look like you have that. 1'6" and 2'8" lower drawers, 12" slide out, 36" cooktop, 12" slide out, 2'8" drawers, 24" dishwasher, 36" sink, 18" trash, and corner cabinet to be added. Do yourself a huge favor and forget the 12" slide outs. They are not good. You're better off with wider drawers . You have 62" to the left of your cooktop. You'd be better off with a 2 three drawer cabinets. One 30" and the other 32". And your dishwasher needs to be to the right of your perimeter sink but in reality, you probably do not need a dishwasher. Your trash pullout should be where you do your prepping as it generates more than where you cleanup.
