Thank you for the suggestion @callirhoe123 Would you suggest maybe a lighter brown or green or would you lean more towards a white/cream color? Neighbors on three sides have a white house, but not easily seen from the street if that makes a difference.

The house looks dark to me, too. That said, it's one picture taken at one point in time. And, I'm sure the awning increases the shade. I'd suggest a yellow (sunny or pale) or a light blue. That said, I suggest you take down the awnings and take pics at different times of day to get a better sense of what the house looks like through the day. Most houses are shaded part of the day and they always look better and brighter when they are in the sun.

You can limb up the tree (ie cutting some lower branches), which will help, although the awning suggest that shade is really needed.

For landscaping advice, you need to tell us zone, nearest city and sun/shade. Do you know what those plants at the front edge of the property are? Are they weeds or worth saving? You should ID them. It's a waste to toss good plants that need a little pruning or TLC, but saving weeds is not a good idea either.

No, there are no lower branches on that tree that can be limbed up. If it were my house, I'd want privacy from the road and I'd plan for a shrub border along the front near the road.

I would go with off-white body and white trim.

I like the idea of a nice sunny yellow. Not too bright, but, a nice clear color that doesnt have a muddy look to it.

I like Urbane Bronze ( all my trim & doors are in that color ) but NOT for your house, too dark . I think a sage green with a cream trim would look good.
