Help with wall mount range hood meeting 3cm solid slab backsplash

Looking for guidance on how our wall-mount range hood meets a 3cm solid slab marble backsplash with no cabinets on either side. The marble slab backsplash will run to the height and width of the range hood and 18” high to each side of the range (per sketch - backsplash drawn as tile but will be solid slab). The hood we initially picked (not purchased yet) has rear lights and the 3cm marble depth will slightly overlap the lights.

Has anyone used any means of bumping out the hood itself to the depth of the backsplash? If so, how did you manage the edge between wall and hood/chimney? I’m looking at other hoods but also risk potential overlap with filters. Other thoughts on managing wall-mounted hood and 3cm backsplash? We don't want to run the marble to the ceiling and we're working with an existing plaster wall that we can't bumped out to meet the marble depth. Input appreciated!
