Comments (39)Luther, as discovered by Tom somewhere in the posts above, only 20 characters are displayed. In yours, the number "9" is the 20th character, so the "b" is truncated and not displayed. You could abbreviate "zone" to the letter "z" like I did in mine in order to get your zone 9b to properly display. Carol...See MoreWhat is causing web pages not to open?
Comments (6)owbist and genes: I'll give both of your suggestions a try and provide some feedback later. damccoy: Most of my scheduled tasks are set to run around 3am, but occasionally I'm logged on when something is being updated and things do run a bit sluggish because of that. The stuff I'm describing is quite a bit different in that it's more than just slower; I actually have to close out and start over. IE is the only browser I use. And I think the answer to your third question is no, if only because I don't understand what that is and therefore probably don't have it. Of course, I consider myself one of the "technically-challenged". Thanks to all for your help!...See MoreRead Me If You're New To GW Kitchens! [Help keep on Page 1]
Comments (4)Buehl, please do! I was just trying to save something of use. I'd been checking the GW all night, turned my back for 15 minutes to watch the Health Care vote, and whammo! all the posts were gone. I kept refreshing, thinking, "This can't be!"...See MoreKitchen Cabinet Price Breakdown
Comments (73)Rebunky, I was referring to control-freaky behavior on the part of businesses not wanting to share costs with customers, not customers wanting to have full information so they know what they are spending their hard-earned money on. My sugestion for you is to find out what the market price for that car is in your area. Several services offer this. You then fax of email an offer to the dealers in your radius and see who wants your business at that price. Too bad this service isn't available for kitchen and other remodeling projects. lots of construction related businesses have more work than they can handle / deliver right now . The good ones are now charging more to make up for the lean times after the meltdown. Then I'd be a consumer who waits for slow times to get my project done. I refuse to pay jacked up prices just because they can get away with price gouging because other people are dumb enough to pay more. Since my area has not had any kind of rebound like other areas must be experiencing, I had not taken that into consideration. Still, while I realize that the price of things are what the market will bear, this all still sounds to me like taking advantage of people. I know it's hard for many people to understand but; some businesspeople think not everyone is a good customer and don't even want people who aren't on board with THEIR process. I get this. We have turned clients away for various reasons. Usually it's due to unreasonable expectations when we know it's impossible to promise the results they expect. But then just be honest and say "we're not a good fit"....See MoreSeniorBalloon
