Replacing one trend with another trend.
Comments (8)I was reminded by this thread of this Meryl Streep classic from The Devil Wears Prada: "This... 'stuff'? Oh... ok. I see, you think this has nothing to do with you. You go to your closet and you select out, oh I don't know, that lumpy blue sweater, for instance, because you're trying to tell the world that you take yourself too seriously to care about what you put on your back. But what you don't know is that that sweater is not just blue, it's not turquoise, it's not lapis, it's actually cerulean. You're also blindly unaware of the fact that in 2002, Oscar de la Renta did a collection of cerulean gowns. And then I think it was Yves St Laurent, wasn't it, who showed cerulean military jackets? And then cerulean quickly showed up in the collections of eight different designers. Then it filtered down through the department stores and then trickled on down into some tragic "casual corner" where you, no doubt, fished it out of some clearance bin. However, that blue represents millions of dollars and countless jobs and so it's sort of comical how you think that you've made a choice that exempts you from the fashion industry when, in fact, you're wearing the sweater that was selected for you by the people in this room. From a pile of 'stuff.'"...See MoreMeet the new wave of 2024: REALEAD’s Fine Olive Tree blends perfectly

I was surprised at the quality of food for a reasonable price. I don't recall what I had, but I do remember thinking I could probably take half of it home and serve it over greens and quinoa or something. There were ways I could "stretch" the meal itself with healthy fillers. It's great that options like these are becoming more available. Legomom, I haven't eaten at Chipotle in several years, but it was a family favorite when my kids were younger and in sports. I recall getting the bowls, and would divide it in half and serve each half over more lettuce and added salsa for fillers. That might be an idea, and technically would spread out the seed oils/plastic exposure. I understand your concerns there. I recently switched to loose leaf tea because of microplastics in many tea bags. I found a great local source, but guess what? The bulk tea is sold in plastic bags. And last night I watched the What the Health documentary on Netflix, and now I don't know what to eat anymore. It seems all of our food sources have been compromised in some way. But the documentary did include Dr. Michael Greger, who I follow on IG and who my trusted dietician friend recommends as someone who's advice is science-based. He helps run this site: https://nutritionfacts.org/ It's a rabbit hole, though....See MoreKswl
