What will the floor be? If it's that grayish one, please rethink flooring. Post [pictures of the actual space so we can see where the paint will be.

We are going to be removing walls so the layout will be different than how it currently is.

I am including the plans for how it should look. There will be plenty of overhead lighting and the natural light in this area is pretty bright with a 10 foot long window in the room with the eating area. The only furnishings will be a table and chairs (i drew in where it will go) plus the tv on the wall. we will get a new table once the kitchen is done.

Please give me suggestions for flooring. An associate suggested that grey flooring but I didn’t love it.

Right now we have lifeproof vinyl plank Heirloom Pine throughout our entire house. Since we have to redo the floors for this project we were fine with changing it completely.

We were open to tile or wood look tile as well. I prefer a darker floor and wanted to stay away from a lot of grey. Associates were suggesting so many grey floors and paints.

Also in thise photos the colors are way off. The blue cabinets are not as dark with our lighting and the upper cabinets appear yellow to me in those plans. They are a soft white to really light stone.

I like what you already have, better than what is showing above. Is there a reason, that you have to remove it? Do you have extra, that you could fill in, if needed?

do you have a pic of the actual kitchen? does it get a lot of light?

i wouldn't do dark floors against that dark navy unless you have a very bright room. plus, dark floors in a kitchen will show every spill, grease mark and crumb.

pick a nice lighter, natural french oak. not gray, just a nice natural white oak.

I wouldn't go much darker than this

or maybe this one. it's wire brushed european oak.

I chose this engineered wide plank french oak for my redo. about 900 sq feet of it. I don't have navy, but this is a dark charcoal color

I love this floor. it's easy to care for, doesn't show marks, withstands large spills and pet accidents. It's Calif Classics-Mediterranean line, color-Granville. (they have about 16 diff colors)

come people prefer LVP, I don't care for it. and if you do find one that looks like real wood, it's going to cost almost as much as real wood. The floors I got have a 50 year warranty.

I mean, picking your backsplash and picking your paint could go together -- very light shades from the stone, maybe, just gray enough to contrast the white?
