is it ok to have a vaulted kitchen and dining but not family room?

I have a 70s contemporary home with
A 34x16 vaulted open room. I am designing
An addition/renovation for it.

The most straight forward design I came up for it would be to put the kitchen and the dining in the big vaulted room with a non vaulted family room off the kitchen. This will be the easiest to build but my concern is that if you have a vaulted room, it should probably be the family room? Does this matter?

I have another design with the family room and dining in the vaulted space with the non vaulted kitchen to the side. This is doable just involves building a few extra walls.

What do you think, vaulted kitchen but not family room strange or fine?

Thanks
