Before and after of dining room
Comments (33)Wow, that's beautiful riverrat! Pretty choice in the wall paint color. I feel for you with the china cabinet - it's hard when you have accumulated things over the years to put them away where they can't be seen. I guess the solution is to rotate things every so often. Hanging the larger platters would be an excellent way to display them. Do you have another place where you can put the books? They might be happier on a bookshelf because they seem to compete with the pretty crystal and silver. Your tablecloth is stunning and will look so very inviting for guests, but oh gosh, why hide the beauty of your table when you aren't using it? It's a gorgeous DR set. Can you share any details on your chandelier? I've been looking for one for quite a while and really like this new one you've selected. It's so hard for me to "visualize" how they will look in the DR....See MoreBefore and After pics of the family room.
Comments (43)Thanks so much ladies! Jejvtr .. you know, when I put that chair in the room .. I was surprised that I like the orange in there too up against the grayish blue. I will say that the upholstery while being in good sound condition, is filthy .. bleck! My youngest DD's went to sit in it and I was like .. no, no .. yuck, don't sit down. I do have a small bissel green machine and I might give a try at cleaning it. I've put it back out in the cottage until after the holiday's .. we also have two of my DD's birthday's coming up, so December is stays really busy here. I don't care for the very, very, very retro-ish tufting .. but by placing a large pillow, like the size of that picture, it makes most of it go away visually....See MoreBefore & After Old World Kitchen/Dining Room Remodel LOTS OF PICS
Comments (5)That's a lot of monorail, even for Disney. ;) As long as you're happy, that's what counts. It's your money. In regards to the photos themselves, too many filters for my taste. And some of the perspective-correcting wide angle makes me dizzy with things that should be square stretched into rhomboids. What kind of product is that countertop? Real old world craftsmen would know not to use egg & dart molding upside-down. Casey...See MoreKitchen flooring in open plan Kitchen/Dining/Family room
Comments (3)I am not crazy about tile. It's hard on the feet and legs. I also don't like cleaning the grout although you can make the grout line very small and dark so that would make it easier to clean. I do love wood. I just think it feels nice underfoot, and I think it gives a warmer overall look. Wood is pretty easy to keep clean. I just use a damp dry mop on mine. My dogs are big and have scratched my wood floors, but it doesn't bother me. One day I will have them resanded and stained....See Morebac717
