Yahoo Mail Problem
Comments (1)My Yahoo web based free email account has two different interfaces. Classic & New Fangled Updated version. Maybe she can look around toward the top of the page and figure out how to switch to the version she isnt using. Classic opens your mail after you click the subject on a new webpage. I forget how the new fangled version works as I dont use it except by accident....See MoreWeird E-mail problem....
Comments (3)Can we assume both posters use and keep updated programs for anti virus and things like Spybot S&D, Spywareblaster, AdAware, AVG anti malware or similar programs? I think I would run at least one free online scan to be sure I did not have nasties messing my machine about. Here are a couple if you do not have any bookmarked. BitDefender and Ewido. Then send yourself a couple of emails and see if things have improved. While you are working at a fix for this you could consider signing up for a free online (or web based) email account at Yahoo, Hotmail or other service to use. Always a good idea anyway for when web sites demand an email address....See MoreYahoo.com mail problem on new laptop
Comments (5)I was using the full address, just as on my desktop. I finally did the HELP thing, and they wanted my cell phone. I don't have text enabled, so did not enter that. When I typed in an alternate EMail, message says they don't have that one in their records. So I clicked on "Can't access either one", and they sent an Email with reset information to be accessed tomorrow afternoon. Funny thing - if I still didn't have the desktop to receive the Yahoo Email, and I can't log in on laptop - how in the world would I have been able to reset?? Just doesn't make sense. And I hope tomorrow afternoon I will be able to reset and log in on laptop. I don't have a positive feeling about it!...See MoreYahoo mail problems?
Comments (29)Or maybe you don't access your account as often and just missed the window of downtime. Its problems are way more often this last week than other times. It's acting up right now. Try the link I have farther up the thread, and you'll see how large a chunk of time it's been misbehaving today. It's a moving graph so it won't show you Monday, for instance. not right this moment for me, but it was earlier and it absolutely was on Monday. Or maybe I only hit it when it wasn't working. Either way, I think you're dismissing things you shouldn't dismiss. Yahoo is having trouble right now. It'd be nice if it worked every time one opened their mail. Which is what one would expect from a mail provider. I've been with them for a very long time. It's my only email provider outside of work. I won't change. But to say it's smooth sailing, what's wrong with you? just shows you're either A) lucky, B) don't access it as often as others, or C) are oblivious(?)....See Morecarolb_w_fl_coastal_9b
