Weird E-mail problem....

In reading some of the other posts, I'm not sure if my problem is the same..When I send a forward, the recipient gets multiple copies (sometimes 30 copies) of the same thing....This has just started happening this past week and I'm at a loss. I'm really not computer savoy, so any help will be greatly appreciated....

I've been having the same problem and it's been going on for awhile. What e-mail service do you have? I'm with AIM(netscape). i hope someone has an answer, i'm getting too embarrassed to even send e-mail out anymore.

Can we assume both posters use and keep updated programs for anti virus and things like Spybot S&D, Spywareblaster, AdAware, AVG anti malware or similar programs? I think I would run at least one free online scan to be sure I did not have nasties messing my machine about.

Here are a couple if you do not have any bookmarked. BitDefender and Ewido. Then send yourself a couple of emails and see if things have improved.

While you are working at a fix for this you could consider signing up for a free online (or web based) email account at Yahoo, Hotmail or other service to use. Always a good idea anyway for when web sites demand an email address.

I use Hotmail (free) and often when I get emails from an AOL email addy, they won't open for me. Not sure why. They aren't anything like wonderful pics being shared, but rather things from the net that have been forwarded and forwarded, and forwarded...all with the names and addresses. What are the email programs involved? Are you maybe able to see the pics at the actual on line email site before or after they are downloaded to Thunderbird? Have you narrowed it down to it being Thunderbird for sure? Sue

Any decent mail program should be able to use any email address. Are you double-clicking on an email to open it? If yes, don't. It should open with one click & then it won't open a new tab. If it is opening a new tab with one click, then something is configured wrong. If you google, there are ways to disable tabs in TB but you might find that the end result is even more troublesome.

are you using the print email button on your actual email program? Mine will not print properly unless I use the actual button built into the email program. which email program are you using? for example on my hotmail at the top row where it says NEW, Delete, Junk etc there is a small printer icon that is how I have to print the individual emails by using that icon.

I definitely could and would delete it with out opening it. I have NO facebook and NEVER will however I get emails supposedly from face book about my account and related junk again I HAVE NO ACCOUNT!! It is all BS. Opening suspicious emails leads to trouble. Facebook is one of the easiest sites to hack it does not matter how secure your password is written. The code that facebook is written with is sloppy and they don't really care because after all they don't care about privacy that has been their stance all along. To see for yourself simply go to google and search hack facebook the directions are right there. Here it is in fact if you just type the word hack in the google search box the first option that pops up is hack facebook! That is how often it is searched that it is number one in the results. hack Facebook they even have nice little youtube videos to help you see how to do it.

Shebal, I'm with Walmartconnect. but it is Netscape....This problem just started when I started getting forwards from a friend that has AOL and was wondering if that had anything to do with it.....
