Need suggestions on detached garage not matching house siding

Need advice as to what color to use when siding a detached garage. Our original plan was to match the siding of our house BUT apparently that siding is now made out of pure gold 😝and will now cost us $15k to side our garage? I love the look of the vertical siding and do not need all the fancy things! This garage is only a garage- just to park vehicles in and for the kids to play hockey in! Any suggestions? I’ll include our house color now and our current garage build

As long as the color harmonizes, I don't see any reason it has to match precisely!

Get clay or beige double 4 vinyl, whichever is closer.

I agree, make the garage siding the same as the colour of house (redish bricks) and use white trims, soffit and eaves trough for accents. Garage door colours would look nice with white. That sounds really high to me. We built a 28' x 36' garage with a loft - it had a brick face, hardie plank on the sides and back, insulated, heated and cooled, plumbed, with a separate electrical service for around $50,000. Our cost of living is probably less than yours but still if you are not plumbing and heating the space then that seems a bit high. I mean we know the materials cost for a 26' x 28' garage in the D.C. area is around $6,224 for grooved siding. to remove the siding and add brick will be a good bit of money, and that doesn't include foundation, insulation or labor but it seems unlikely that those things would add $50,000. Aside from brick you can build a sided garage in a long weekend once you get the foundation done.

The elevation is about 20 inches high on left side . I don’t know much about dirt work so that’s hard for me to answer . I just know the gc shot it from corner to corner and that’s what was said

I like #5 for the siding, and the Mahogany for the garage doors, because they complement the brick well, but that gray roof does not play well with any of the color options.

Have you looked at other siding products that are similar? Seems you might find something that offers the beige, brown or white like your home.

It's only my opinion, but the selection of that too-narrow lap siding doesn't suit the style of your home. Because the narrow siding 'telegraphs' irregularities in the framing of the home, narrow siding is often used on homes that have lots of trim that divide walls into smaller areas.

You could select a siding that matches the same color to make the connection.

I'd consider doing the red from your window trim. It's a classic color for a barn...depends on the yard layout though.
