Wall decor around tv centered on wall
Comments (1)I'm having the same issue. Right now I put 3 plants on the right in a corner, one on a high plant stand and the other two on a small table. A candle holder is yet to be put up on the other side. The TV is on the wall though, all electronics are in a closet behind. I do have a sofa table under it with pillows on it's shelf. Am consdering a bench for extra seating out of the way, but can be moved. Had wanted bookcases too, but the room has enough furniture and big fireplace. Filling up the bookcases felt like too much for my area. Post pic if you can. You will get a bunch more responses....See MorePlease help with wall decor
Comments (8)couple suggestions: -yes to a larger console if possible -I kinda like the big painting where it is -your mirror though nice doesn't reflect anything much, as far as I can see..how about bringing a big plant to go next to that end table, or put an interesting lamp there, so you'll get to see them twice?:) -can you take the little chest(console/TV wall) some place else? storage problem will hopefully be solved by another bigger console(case goods can be hunted inexpensively on Craigslist etc..if you're not against that route of course) -I'd go with bolder, deeper throw pillows that pick up some colors from your rug -it's a nice room, that chair is cool..great potential, allover. I realize I didn't say much about walls..that's because I think, you'll have all the time in the world to figure it out after/if you change other small stuff..if you feel like it of course. (and of course I'd hunt art. In its various forms. whatever speaks to me. I might do it simultaneously while figuring out other things, or maybe even before..but that's not something I can advice you in advance..like get X for here, and Y for there..No, it's art, not paint by numbers. You get it when you feel the need to get it. Strong need, presumably. (which I often have, luckily with no funds to support my need..))...See MoreWall decore and Lighting for den/tv room cornner sectional
Comments (5)I don't think you should mess with the wall you show in your first picture because it's just gorgeous. On this side, yes, neither of those big things is doing anything good for you. It's hard to say how exactly to do it without seeing the new unit, but I would think specially designed shelving where the lamp is now would work. Here are three possible styles that might work for you. I don't have sources for the first two, but the clever corner shelves on the right are available as below. They all have a slightly Eastern look, don't they? The middle one is just a small hanging wall shelf, but the design might be adapted to create something bigger, I think. I also think the thick shelves in the first picture (which I love) would work well in a narrower size. https://www.amazon.com/Greenco-Corner-Shelves-Walnut-Finish/dp/B01MQGU4LZ/ref=pd_sim_196_4?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B01MQGU4LZ&pd_rd_r=3XCFHZ8T2V6T5TG2G9C0&pd_rd_w=n30QC&pd_rd_wg=0jbZF&psc=1&refRID=3XCFHZ8T2V6T5TG2G9C0...See MoreWould u pick a bigger master bath or bigger closet?
Comments (31)Hehe, got a tidbit from someone looking over my shoulder while I was in this thread. She's a bit of a clothes horse.. She suggested a full closet gallery. Cut the bedroom down to 12x16 (you only sleep there anyway if all your closet is elsewhere), leaving the south wall open for a 4x16 shoes and shiney/jewlery section. Run the bathroom and closet long like I originally suggested with the even 8x18 division, closet also on the south end. Run the south end with lots of windows (frosted of course) for natural light with benches/storage under the windows for folded clothes, breaks/divisions between windows tall boys of storage for smalls like socks, ties, scarves, unmentionables, ect. The full run of the 18 feet along the bathroom wall being for hanging storage. With breaks for a couple dress dummies. All with bottom to top shades on the windows, with additional lighting worked in too. She wasn't sure how to work the bathroom.. I had to remind her it needed at least access from the bedroom to count as a master bath, lol. But I thought it an interesting off the wall addition to suggest here. I thought my own suggestion of two longs instead of two blocks a shake up. I do like the two blocks as is as well....See MorePam Fisher
