After reading ALL the comments from the last post...I watched it last night, my 2nd time to watch. Kathy had a good point. Telling ALL to someone who wants time-in-her-bedroom with Gerry. I get the zip-it comment. The lady who was lactose intolerant who joined in the, "Never Have I ever" contest....then she's sick...in bed. WHAT? It's a bunch of women making connections with each other...and having fun. Sounds like the women will get together after the show, going to each others houses to hang out. Gerry may not be all that important in the long run, to this older woman's group. :0)

There are spoilers which I looked at thinking I wasn't going to watch. So, I know who wins.

I'm thinking Leslie or Teresa IF he picks anyone.

Theresa? Oy. I like Leslie but I don't see them as a match at all. She needs someone younger. (I'm talking in spirit, not chronological years.) On the last thread someone referred to him as creepy and I'm totally seeing it. What I originally attributed to being possibly scripted is increasingly striking me as something's off about him. And not just him bringing up his wife and comparing his feelings. That's disrespectful on all sides IMO. He's just kind of grossing me out as much as most of the women are. Last episode became difficult to watch.

While I know who he picks, I'm not seeing sparks flying. And interesting too, his preferred age rage 60 and above. Twelve year difference to me is not exactly age appropriate.

i agree! every time he mentions his deceased wife, i cringe. i did see one preview where he's lamenting, as he's shedding tears, about being in love with TWO women at the same time. seriously? 🙄

I agree. All the tears. Yikes. The daughters wanted him on the show. It seems like he really isn't ready.

I was sorry to see Teresa stay and Kathy go, tho I don't think either of them is a match. The fact that he can't see what a ditz (or whatever she is) Teresa is makes me a little nervous about his power of observation and discrimination. Gerry doesn't give me the creeps, but Teresa does. I don't think Kathy effectively defended or described to him why she'd told Teresa to zip it, which was too bad. On every one of these shows there is always a person who the chooser cannot see for what they are, but I think that is part of the scripted drama.

As far as missing her daughter's wedding, I suspect it was probably a 2nd wedding; maybe something small and intimate, where her absence wouldn't be as much of a faux pas as at a big to-do.

Agree. That was my reaction from day one with her sophomoric introduction.

Theresa taught herself to trade stocks. She has a professional background and possibly money piled up. I think she's savvy. I don't think, other than making new girlfriends....anyone will "win" on this show. Finding love in this environment would be challenging. OK...My husband now expresses that Theresa seems wishy-washy and naive. She has a little girl presence. Oh...

I think women in general, try not to dominate or bully, so as to seem non-threatening. I once had a high school friend that spoke baby talk to men. She said they listened to her in THAT voice. She got my husband to buckle his seat belt. :0)

Theresa's teaching herself to trade stocks, then turning it into a career with a well known, name brand presence. I'd give her a LOT of credit for making a career out of nothing...no college. Women have very little to lean on in this environment. Maybe she's the winner?

Since I have investment anxiety, I have a lot of admiration for someone tackling that without a formal education, but it still doesn't mean she'd be an emotionally intelligent partner. Or even a good girlfriend, based on her behavior with the other women. But it's all manipulated, fantasy TV, so who knows. It will be fun to see the family meet ups. eta: I removed some inaccurate info about Theresa’s profession. It does appear she’s an investment advisor.

Oly, these women are totally out there. We know where they work, where they live.

I'm looking forward to the families.
