I don't think you NEED the shutters, but black is classic and I'd include the front door with that and a paint job. A deep leafy green will also work.

Bigger problem is the over grown tree obscuring your entry...along with same effect in the hedges. I'd start with that issue: )

Your Halloween decor could benefit with the use of the elevated corner behind it- you're crowding your door.

I too think a deep green or black would look great and won't clash with your brick or your roof. Try SW tricorn black, Farrow and Ball railings, or Ben Moore black forest green. Most paints have a historic colors line that include good deep dark greens.

IMO the white siding is not good with the brick and Maybe no shutters and a darker color for the siding. IMO a color more this shade with that brick for the siding then after that see if you really need shautters at all. Curb appeal to me usually means being able to see a clear path to the front door from the street I am not sure that front door suits the house . The front needs bigger pots too.

Agree with Jan. The first thing that jumped out at me is the landscaping obscuring the view of your house, Another vote for black btw. i would also add new, larger address numbers & porch light fixture.

It looks like you have only one set of shutters on the house. I think the house looks better without them. They are a distraction. Better to have the front door (and the bay window on the first story) as the focal point. Trim and shape the tree in front of the door so the door is more visible. Remove the bushes that seem to act as a barrier to your entry and think about how you might change some of the landscaping and hardscape. Larger house numbers and porch lamp. Maybe paint the siding in something that is less stark than the current white color, although the current color is not bad. You have a really pretty house and a few minor changes will enhance the curb appeal.

Agree with black or Kendrah’s suggestion of BM Black Forest Green.
