Where do think shutters will go in the proper size for sure not on that wide front window

Alyssa, it's a very cute house. I'm not a pro but could see the foundation the gray Jerome mentioned or the same color as the siding. Will there be more landscaping that will cover much of it?

For me, the only windows suitable for shutters are the smaller ones. The other one in front is much too large. Each shutter should be half the window's width whether functional or decorative.

Foundations should ground the house. Definitely a darker color.

Foundation dark gray. No shutters but you could paint your trim around windows black and put a pretty black iron planter below the picture window with colorful annuals snd seasonal choices for other times of year.

Thank you for all your advice! I agree completely with the foundation color. I am now wondering if black trim around the windows would be a better bet. The all white just drives me crazy and I cannot paint the whole house, so looking to add some color accents.

This is the other side of the house, well seen from the road and oh so white! Some landscaping will be added, but still so plain.

You're keeping the white siding, right? I like Flo's suggestion of black (or other contrasting color) trim around the windows, and the planter for the window. You definitely need some contrast with the white, and black is classic with it. Maybe a new black light fixture to the left of the door.

I would use the charcoal color on the windows too.
