Need advice for the front door and shutter color!

What color is the best for my front door and shutters?

I am thinking a light grayish blue for the front door and the shutters. Or very bright red front door and gray shutters. In my subdivision, most red brick houses have black or hunter green shutters, and I think they are a bit too dark for me.

A pop of color would draw you in.I love the idea of a red front door. Apparently, the color of your front door says something about the home owners. Through out history and across cultures a red front door has been a symbol.

Red door means the home within is a vibrant place, full of life, energy, and excitement.

In Feng Sui, a red door symbolizes the mouth of the home. By painting our door red (or any bright color that stands out) chi (positive energy) is drawn to the house. It is the entry point in which abundance and opportunities find us.

The Chinese consider red to be the lucky or sacred color. Many doors are painted with a fresh coat of red just before Chinese New Year to invite good luck and happiness.

gorgeous house! It looks like a classic house that's been there "forever", becoming one with its environment. It's a statement all by itself & contrasting colors detract rather than enhance; I'm thinking it needs a color to emphasize its mysteriousness, its cohesive nature. Maybe a deep charcoal/brown color where you have white.

This is a recommended color from SW for Mindful Gray…homburg gray. I would do this on the shutters and the garage doors and leave the wood door as is. The two middle windows shouldn’t have shutters as the won’t fit appropriately, but you are not painting the siding and the darker outlines of the shutters will show if you don’t replace what was there. Personally, would like the house with out shutters and would probably paint the siding and garage doors and have no shutters at all.

I would like darker gray or black shutters. Front door either same color or a color that leans more green than the teal you're showing in your pictures, and darker. If you're buying a new front door natural wood would look good too. There's a good chance that house originally had a dark wood front door.
