I'm thinking the shutters would look good black. Plus, those dormer windows should probably have a black line around the white trim to sort of point them up. Are you getting a door with glass panes across the top? Small squares, maybe 3 or 4 across the top? If so, that might look nice in black also, or perhaps a deep "jet" green. You need to change that single light into a pair of lantern, one on either side. Your house is an adorable little classic cape, and I really like it. If you are in the northeast where you have a snowy winter, I also suggest that you replace the narrow steps and wrought iron railings. Widen the steps to the full width of the stoop, and then have the railings come straight down from the brick wall all the way to the ground. You will need some railings to hold on to with the snow piling up there. Keep the wroughtiron black. Neat as a pin. Love your house.

I'd be tempted to take off all the shutters, since they're way too small for your wide windows. Second choice black, although the current white isn't bad. Frond door I'd go with a cheery color that contrasts with the brick, especially to come out from under the new roof -- a bright medium blue, say.

This is a recommended color from SW for Mindful Gray…homburg gray. I would do this on the shutters and the garage doors and leave the wood door as is. The two middle windows shouldn’t have shutters as the won’t fit appropriately, but you are not painting the siding and the darker outlines of the shutters will show if you don’t replace what was there. Personally, would like the house with out shutters and would probably paint the siding and garage doors and have no shutters at all.

Yes I definitely have to get a new front door. It is cracked and warped due to the amount of direct sunlight it gets hence why the grass is brown in that area of the yard. The house sits up on a hill and there is landscaping in front of the dead grass. You cannot see the dead grass from the road. We just need to get a sprinkler system. I want a door with a window because we have a great view from the front of the house, the sunsets are amazing. View from close to the street
