Vinyl fence gate post question.

Hi,

I live in TX, I'm getting a 6ft vinyl fence installed, with a gate in the front. The contractor's crew used my old chain link fence posts inside the vinyl gate posts (dug down 24' and filled with gravel/cement around each post), then they filled the entirety of both vinyl gate posts with concrete before attaching the gate hardware. He had told me I couldn't re-use the chainlink fence posts but now I'm seeing him do just that. The gate hangs crooked and I've seen where they broke off gate hardware screws into the post trying to attach the gate hardware after it was filled with concrete. Really need some advice on this one - is using old chain link posts covered in cement inside the vinyl post a bad idea for my area that occasionally experiences severe freezing (days/wks) cold weather? Could someone explain to me how the hollow aluminum chain link post inside cement would affect the outer vinyl layer in extreme cold/heat?

You're advice is Much appreciated!
