Repairing damage to EIFS

My house, built in 1995, has a synthetic stucco exterior with EIFS accents on the corners and door and window surrounds. The whole exterior is solid and in good condition except for a few minor dings in the EIFS accents. The EIFS is just 1" white styrofoam insulation with some kind of composite resin coating, no matting in it at all. I'm having a heck of a time trying to find any materials specifically made and sold for patching this stuff. I was considering gluing in some plugs of styrofoam as filler and using plain old marine fiberglass matting and polyester resin over the top of it.

Good idea? Bad Idea? Any better ideas?
