If you left the engine running over 2 min's without using the pressure wand, heat builds up and pop's the valve, supose to allow cool water to flow and prevent damage to pump.sounds like damage was done or something hanging up the unloader? If it's your fault, taking it back to anywhere, just adds to the cost of the next years machine/s retailers don't lose $$ they just past the cost of doing business on to the customer.

Hi joedz, I have also had a broken inlet elbow on my Karcher K360M power washer. I do not know how this relates to your 320M but I will share with you my experience. First problem was getting the yellow shell off of the actual motor. It required a 4 inch long T15 Torx screw driver. Having only a 3 inch long one I had to go out and get a longer one. Once this was completed, I set the motor on end and discovered I had to further disassemble another assembly before I could remove the old elbow and install the new one. This assembly consisted of an aluminum housing enclosing a black plastic unit. It was held to the motor with 4 Allen machine screws and came off quite easily. Be careful to not lose the o-ring seal or the little springs that it leaves uncovered when you remove it. Now the fun begins. According to drawings of the product, it appears that the black plastic unit should simply slide out of the housing. Well, I pulled and tapped and pushed and cussed. I heated the aluminum housing with a hair dryer and pulled and tapped and pushed and cussed some more. Nothing moved a micron. I had just about decided to take a sledge hammer to it when decided I would give it another chance so I put it in the freezer for the night. The next morning a slight tap on the old elbow and black assembly dropped out of the aluminum housing. I ordered the replacement elbow this morning so I can not tell you if the total process is successful. The tolerances are apparently so close that I may have to freeze the black plastic unit before I can reassemble. I hope this will be of some value to you.

After reading all of the posts here, i wonder how in the world our relatives cleaned things up without a pressure washer!! Why, they used a broom or mop, with liberal use of soap and muscle! Never had to worry about the things breaking--oh, maybe a mop handle, or the broom lost some bristles, but they never had to borrow the neighbors fancy power washer, which weren't available 40 years ago, except for commercial use. Seems to me, there's a sucker born every minute, reinforced by the stories of all the troubles apparently inherent with powered pressure washers! And--if the thing ain't made by an American company, don't buy it! and especially not if it has Chinese made parts! Back when i was a kid (the 30's) toys were imported from Japan, that were of such inferior quality, the stores sold them really cheap! And, the only thing that came from Japan that we took notice of was Pearl Harbor! Rusty

Good start for safety information, Booster. In addition, anyone thinking of making repairs to a pressure washer, should be concerned with safety hazards because of the high pressures involved. These pressures are very similar to hydraulic systems on construction and farm equipment, and also tools like log splitters. If a hydraulic hose fails with just a tiny leak in it, the stream of fluid coming out at 1500 psi from the hose can pierce the skin, and then you will have a major medical event. No reason that a pressure washer wouldn't cause similar injuries. The same goes for repairs to any part of the pressurized system. If a coupling or other fitting needs to be replaced, only fittings rated for high pressure should be used. Replacing fittings with standard plumbing fittings, is not to be done, and will create a safety hazard. GG
