need exterior paint suggestions
Hello! We are having our house painted in a few weeks and are looking for color recommendations. We will be using Sherwin Williams paint. Gutters (musket brown), roof (brown) and windows won’t be changing.
We will likely go with one color. Thoughts?

Comments (0)We just purchased a new home that needs a LOT of TLC and can't decide on an outside paint color. We are not sure how many colors to use (do we use one for trim, one for gutters, one for door, etc etc) We were thinking a beige of some sort (maybe something like Briarwood from BM) with black shutters. I just don't know what would look best. We are open to ANY and all suggestions! Comments (3)I hope you meant to say restain the siding and not paint. Paint will peel. If you have no peeling and the color has simply faded, then you are looking for a new stain color. Duckback produces a very good stain....See MoreExterior paint suggestions needed
Comments (8)I’d match the garage doors to the siding or stonework. Why make a feature of something so large & utilitarian? Their size would dominate & draw the eye away from the front door, which for me, should be the key point of focus. 🌈...See More

8 months agolast modified: 8 months agoI love orange in the abstract and as a pop of color, but an orange house is a LOT, so kudos to you for changing up the exterior. I would go with a neutral to go with your fixed elements, the gutters and roof. Am I correct in assuming you're planning to paint the brick, too? There's a Sherwin Williams color called Stamped Concrete that looks great with musket brown:

8 months agolast modified: 8 months agoAre you painting the brick or leaving it? If you’re keeping it, I would match the grout which appears to be a warm gray. Or a warm off white/near neutral. If you aren’t painting the brick, look at it next to the following colors: (they will look different outside)
If you are painting your brick you’ll have more options.
