I wanted to go with more of a charcoal color paint but the roofing Brown is making me second guess. Any suggestions?

I think there is too much variation in the two colors. Two that are closer to each other would give you a more cohesive feel. Your roof is neutral which is nice. Knowing some color preferences would help...and/or some you don't like. I would remove the shutters from the double window. It's too large for them. Once you decide on a color, paint the garage door the same color. At some point you might consider a garage door with windows across the top.

Below is a picture of a house plan our son just built, but he used all shingles instead. It’s West Coast contemporary and it looks lovely. Our house is similar. Is it the combination of batten-board w/shingles that you all disagree with? Or is it that you feel shingles have no place on a more contemporary-looking house? All batten-board would look better? If so, all one color or two? Thank you all! I do appreciate your feedback. I have to decide soon.

I agree do a dark color on your trim. I would do a light color on your siding. Is Benjamin Moore available by you? These are colors I can see on your house.

I would pick a color from your stone, for the siding. I agree, charcoal (which I do love), is not the best color for your house.

I’d match the garage doors to the siding or stonework.

Why make a feature of something so large & utilitarian?

Their size would dominate & draw the eye away from the front door, which for me, should be the key point of focus.
