Anyone willing to measure their Medallion 3 and 4 stack drawers?
Comments (17)clarygrace- Here's the current configuration of my cabinets on the ovens/rangetop wall. The only change I've decided on for sure is to eliminate that 12" tray pull out next to the ovens and simply make the drawer stack wider. It will throw off the symmetry a bit, but no one will ever notice because we have a giant island blocking the view of the base cabinets. Those drawer stacks are only 21" wide, so by eliminating the tray pull out I'll get one stack of 33" wide drawers. My plan is to make the space to the right of the rangetop my baking zone. Keep flours, sugars, and such in the upper cabinets and my rolling pins, cookie cutters, sprinkles, and such in the drawers. The drawers to the left of my rangetop will hold cooking utensils in the top drawer and bowls/pots in the bottom drawer... not sure what's going in the middle yet. Oven mitts and trivets? I honestly don't know what I'm going to do with all those upper cabinets. Besides some oils, vinegars, and specialty salts, I have no idea what to keep in the upper cabinet between my ovens and rangetop. I'm hoping for spice storage inspiration for there. I wish I could do a rack on the inside of the door, but the catalog I saw only had spice racks on smaller sized cabinets. Sigh. This all circles back to my original post about not knowing if I should get any 4 drawer stacks. :headtable:...See MoreAnother drawer question, 3-drawer vs 4-drawer cabinets?
Comments (3)If you only have two drawer bases, I would probably stick with 3 drawers in both. I do have one 4-drawer base--but I planned in advance what I was going to put in it & I have seven drawer bases. What do I put in the 4-drawer base? 24", the top three are the same size (same as top drawers everywhere else), the fourth/bottom is a bit deeper: * Flatware * Plastic Bags, Wraps, Wax Paper * Bread baskets & Plates * Misc Coffee & Tea supplies The rest are 3-drawer bases (1 shallow & 2 deep), 2-drawers + WD, & 1 drawer+ MW. The other shallow drawers hold: * Prep & Cooking Utensils (under cooktop) * Baking Tools & Utensils (in Baking Center) * Pot Holders (b/w cooktop & DOs) * Utensils for gluten-free foods * Linens & Placemats HTH!...See More3' or 4' for kitchen drawer bin pulls?
Comments (5)Julie, I think it's just a matter of personal preference. I prefer the longer handles (I don't have bin pulls though). It seems like there is more choice in the 3", but as long as it is a standard measure, either 3" or 4" can be replaced if tastes change in the future....See More3 drawers 4 drawers which to pick
Comments (14)I encourage you to go for three. And I'd make them unequal depths. I love my super deep pots and pans drawer below my cooktop. I don't have to take one step to reach the pan I want. My arrangement is a shallow utensil drawer on top, deep P&P drawer in the middle and Tupperland in the bottom. (After living these twin top drawers, I had them replaced with one wide drawer. Now I don't have to go back and forth trying to remember which drawer had the utensil I want.) A deepish drawer for towels is also nice. I stack them on edge so I can see all the choices at once. Here is a link that might be useful: my under cook top drawers...See MoreSusie .
