My Plumeria called Bridal Bouquet (I think) Finallly bloomed!!! I had to wait until June but thats okay, at long as it is happy in this spot then I am happy.

Beautiful. I've always liked this variety. It has interesting shaped leaves. The one I had was a good bloomer. I left most of my plumeria plants when I moved last year. They were just too big. I only brought some cuttings and some of my seedlings that I was waiting for them to bloom.

I need to get some photos of whats blooming now. We have spent the last several days dealing with a tree that fell during the storms. It barely missed the front of our barn.

Goats were delighted that a large limb fell into their pasture lol.

Should say Queen of Elegance....can't believe I typed that....too many senior moments lately! Vapor - Jasmina has never had much cane, seems like if she puts out a new one an old one dies back. But I've been tying and propping all my roses over and over all winter and spring. A lot of high winds but also a lot of growth because of no winter dieback. I can't remember about the cleaning but will find out very soon! I have Laguna that needs deadheaded now and that takes a good day and a quart of blood.

Jennifer, I did not check the turnips and beets today. The guy that baled the hay and ran over the beets and turnips was here today working on the baler and hauling hay. I did not want him to feel bad about a crop being in that mess he ran over, plus my grand daughter came to visit, the rain also kept me in the house a long time today. I don't know how much rain we got, but, it was at least .3 inch. The rain, hail, and wind was a little rough on the tomatoes. I was so proud that I was doing a much better job keeping them tied up, but I fell off the wagon and they got out hand in just a few days. I tied some damaged plants up today, and hope to do more tomorrow. I harvested our first pimento pepper today, and I have a sweet banana pepper ready for harvest. All the peppers are green, I wont expect any ripe ones for a long time. We are getting a lot of squash and cucumbers, but I don't thing we are getting many customers at the produce stand yet, but this is only the second day the stand has been open, and they are trying to sell the garage sale stuff out first. I hope to get up in the morning and pot up the last of our sweet potato slips. We have a few late slips, which I may try growing in hay. I have got to quit gardening, and start working on equipment, it seems like everything I own is broken down.

@liz888 Thanks. It’s kinda a fun stage, but also just stresses me out. So many of the subs are careless and just knock walls and knock into things and so much touch up is needed everywhere. They are a bit spendy, so will slowly just replace our boring switches with them. They’re are some really cool industrial switches on Etsy too that I might get. Our update: Gotta move in in 4 weeks… FML! Kitchen and mudroom is mostly installed, everything’s been templated for stone countertops, electric is all in (just gotta hang all the misc fixtures), and hardwood floors got installed. Appliances are scheduled to be delivered and installed mid-July. This weekend we need to sand, stain, and poly our butcher block. Our kitchen has a LOT going on with a variety of materials, so I’m hoping it all magically pulls together somehow. Doing a really unique matte black quartzite island and butcher block for perimeter, bar counter, and pantry. Decided to just do them ourselves. 🤞 Next week: carpet is being installed in the kids rooms and playroom, cabinet install wraps up, finish base and case, install our fixture, get front deck designed, finishing external siding on window wall, and figure out where the hell our exposed ducts are (apparently majorly delayed somewhere). Might also be installing our railings which I am just thrilled (and maybe terrified) to see in person. Happy 4th to everyone. Enjoy the holiday weekend.

@GardenHo_MI_Z5 and @KW PNW Z8 PN that is actually *2* Goatsbeard plants. But yes each is quite large. (The last couple of years I debate about replacing them with something more...."flashy" but they are reliable performers in lots of shade and do pretty well in drier conditions.) @deanna in ME Barely zone 6a, more like 5b, what an 'extra' excellent post! the yellow purple combination of geranium and ? looks lovely. Thank you @getgoing100_7b_nj...it is very vigorous corydalis lutea.

OMG! I love all the goats. Are they for milk nad cheese? My neighbors breeds goats just for the babies. So frigging cute!

I had an oak go down recently. When the tree guy came to cut it up and grind the stump, I learned that the plant I have been cursing all this time as an annoying Sea Grape is actually a hibiscus tree. The previous owner told me it was a sea grape and it had huge leaves so I just frigured he was right. Not even close! 🤣

As tall as oak trees!

Very very large leaves

It grows horizontally! I kid you not!

That is just one base. I love the privacy but it grows out of bounds. I may need a professional to keep it in bounds.

They grow over the fence and the canal!

Tree Hibiscus! Who knew? 🤷‍♀️

There used to be a massive one in front of our neighborhood tennis court. We used to climb up and hang out in it as kids. We always knew it as 'sea hibiscus'. The botanical name is Hibiscus tiliaceus.

Joan M, that looks like a Hibiscus tileacus (Sea Hibiscus). I think it's on the invasive plants list. Flowers bloom yellow and turn red, and put out TONS of seeds.

Oh my God, I have to hire a tree guy annually to contain this beast!

Sea Hibiscus does not belong in a residential yard. They planted some crazy stuff here over the years. The Sausage Tree was too much. It created so much fruit for the Baboons. LOL they loved exotics. Sausage tree 🙈 don’t plant that either LOL

I had one in my yard in North Port that I planted from seed. It died in the freeze of 2010, which was probably a blessing.
