Backsplash no beadboard but if you like that look there are tiles that look like beadboard. Lighting I rarely like a pendant over a sink but pot light is great . IMO all the bulbs in all the fixtures including the pots should be LED 4000K Pendants over islands should light the island not the ceiling,I really dislike bench seating except at the park so I would ull the table out from the wall and get more chairs , you could maybe use that bench in the entry.I like colorful stools for a bit of fun in a kitchen . My big puzzle is I see no electrical above the island or the table so now all of that has to be done with fishing wires so much more of a hassle than if it was planned at the time the kitchen was designed.I do not love rugs under dining tables or in kitchens but there are floor mats you can get that can be hosed off when dirty and they give a bit of color to the space . I use Chilewich.

I like the clean look you have with no pendants...install pot light over sink and island. The table could use a hanging fixture. I envision clear glass shades and Edison bulbs.

Beadboard sounds like a pain to clean...go for the tile as suggested.

On another note: You have nice wood tones and grays in here...perfect for a color scheme of a beautful Sage Green, Grays and Warm woods. If as suggested the stools could be sage green would be a nice touch...

I, for one, LOVE your dining chairs. The wood warms your space. They have a delicacy that reads modern even as they are classic in shape. I would go for a delicate wrought iron chandelier with candle sticks as suggested above. Again, a traditional design in a modern, more stream lined version. Black. Your floors are beautiful, too. No need for an area rug. Art with color on your wall behind the dining room. Lovely kitchen!

It really cones down to preference whether you want the chairs to feel somewhat the same or different. Look at inspiration pictures to get a sense of what you like. Your table is fine, but if replacing suggest rectangle for better traffic flow. Sometimes a set ends up being less expensive than buying chairs though.

So, do you all think two can lights over sink and two more over the island?

Can you take a picture standing in the door facing the sliding door to show your dining table area? You mention round table, but would you have enough space to get past it to the slider?

From the pic's, I like how your dining table is over to side. I like the bench but could see changing out the table and chairs.

My first thought was black counter stools.

What color did you paint the inside of the door? It's a pretty blue.
