Another rose id question please, beautiful pink cascading roses
Comments (21)Well, I don't know. I looked at both those roses on Help Me Find and I guess it could be. Maybe there was something about the way this GW member grew this rose or pruned it that gave it a little different look to it. And the color of the rose on the arbor seems a little coral to me, but that could just be the camera or the light. Thanks for the help. :-)...See MoreID Pink Climbing Rose
Comments (2)It looks more like Gertrude than Constance ever did in my garden. Constance does not repeat, while Gertrude can, depending upon a variety of factors. Some repeat splendidly, others don't. If those are the two choices, it's Gertrude....See MoreHelp ID Very Fragrant dark pink rose

Comments (14)...just my observations but I agree with others that it's a dead ringer for 'Zephirine Drouhin'...going from the description.... and I assume this will be from the 1950's?... when I read earlier descriptions of this rose, they all seem to agree that it blooms until checked by frost and the disease issues that we see today, don't appear to have been such a problem in earlier times.... over here it's always put down to increased pollution kept these issues at bay, but today's cleaner air allows more black spot and mildew to proliferate... that's how I understand it... ....I can imagine in Shelbyville Texas, decades ago, this rose would have still been regarded as disease resistant... ...even here, it also grows to 8 foot or so in its first year.... all sounds about right......See Moreforever_a_newbie_VA8
