Bought some geat asparagus from Costco and hated the thought, again, of throwing out so much of it with the ends. Finally googled for a soup recipe and found one. I pureed it with my immersion blender, which clogged two or three times and had to remove the wad of fibers around the blade housing to continue. It is a tastey and thrifty recipe. Sorry I did not look for a recipe years earlier. I freeze ends in a baggie till I have enough for a batch of soup.
