Kitchen color advise needed

We have a Montana home with log accents. Am trying to select wall & curtain colors for our kitchen with red oak cabinets; black & stainless appliances; black island w/butcher block top and light oak floor. House decor is rustic. Thank you in advance for your recommendations.

Oh, and the countertops are black, tan and cream granite.

I'm not sure about putting a range under the window. That seems like a recipe for goop and splatter on the window, and also seems likely that, assuming you live in an area with winters, your window is liable to crack/shatter with the temperature extremes of hot from the range vs cold outside. I had that happen in my house when I first moved in, actually, and it didn't even have a range under it, just a sink! So, I'd imagine it being a high risk event with a serious heat source under a window. I think it'd be a lot easier to figure out a good layout with the right side of the diagram filled in. Can you repost a diagram showing what is over there? That way, folks can see traffic flow and imagine any options for that end of the area.

much nicer for the seating area. maybe 18 stack of drawers coming out from the side instead of the larger 30 in you show w the brown back side .are you thinking of overhang there? cant tell... if you reduce the size of that one cabinet you can extend the cabinets and counter to the right of sink . installing the cabinets out from wall allows the deeper counters to the side of fridge which you will like. Instead of the low storage bench near the table you have space in the right corner on the other side for a taller storage hutch. Might be nice. Storage bench of about 20 inches right next to the patio door can be useful .....the extrra long one /not so sure.

I love maple floors IMO 10x nicer than oak. What are you planning to do for the flooring? Maple does not take stain well but I think natural maaple is lovely. Maybe paint the spindles of the railing black for a bitof releif. As for the island I think the whole 2 tone kitchen will be a dtaed look before long. I like simple so I would leave it alone .Make sure all your light bulbs are LED 4000K before choosing anything more . I think add a huge bowl of fruit on the island and thats it . I would also look fror some art that is a little more interesting and no staggered hanging of art on a wall.If you do not have lighting in those glass cabinets add some also LED 4000K I would also do some stools at the island that do not match the oters but something colorful
