Hi loves2read, Yes, the room was pretty dark to start with hence the wall and desk lighting. I would like to put her ceiling fan lighting on a dimmer (I always put my lights on dimmers) and put in high watt bulbs. The room does look darker than what it is though. I had wanted to paint the back wall as well (behind long desk) but just didn't have the time or energy. We are still searching for the perfect art pieces to give the wall more color. My mother-in-law has recently retired but stays busy with various projects. She does not meet with clients, it's just a space to allow her creative, intellectual juices flow. I originally wanted to do a slightly larger print but going up in size came with a significant price bump. Adding something else to either side would be a good option :) Oh and I am from Texas too! candice olsen's favorite BM colors. we did our DD's room in Chelsea Gray with Lacy Pearl on the ceiling.. it looks fantastic. and the room does not get a lot of natural light. they have natural maple furniture and the dark color really sets it off. if u are going with light color furniture than a dark paint would make it stand out. the great thing about this color is that everything that's on the wall is "highlighted" if u will. it just makes everything look great. we were worried about it being dark as well but what a great decision it turned out to be. in the chart there are some dark colors with a blue background that should work with your art. i would do light ceiling to get some reflection and might even just use ceiling color on chair rail and below. do u want the chair rail to be accented? if not then go a one color. you can do CR a color and continue the upper wall color on the bottom section. or do a manly wallpaper on the bottom, or beadboard whatever suits your fancy and within your budget....

Your office has a clean, crisp look but is luxurious as well. You have some wonderful textures in the room that give it a feeling of comfort. Great job!
