Before and After Guest Bathroom Complete Remodel

After having a minor overreaction to my counter top installation, here is the finished product of my guest bathroom remodel. I know some will hate it as I saw in my previous thread, but I am pleased. :) The bad: offset uncentered seashell sinks, orange spanish tile, really short cabinets, electrical outlets cut inside of the mirrors, old outdated bulb lights.. yuck.

I felt that the extremely long counter top had to be broken up, by either a linen cabinet or a vanity. I'm pleased with the little makeup vanity.

Sorry, some of the pictures are taken using pano, so it makes some of the features distorted.

I could never hate this bathroom! It is lovely! Very smart to break up the long vanity.

You could save a lot of money on countertops by breaking up the counter. Remnants are easy to find. Nice job!

Just one side note, it was mostly DIY- all of the plumbing and tub installation was done by a plumber. And the plaster walls were resurfaced by a professional. They were pretty bad after removing the tile. And my husband wanted plaster not Sheetrock.

@jeri we have one plug hidden in the vanity area. Will eventually put a mounted powerstrip with hooks to hang some hair tools. The other outlet is located against the same wall as the light switch. The flooring is called "Merola Tile Agadir Gris" .. pic below!

@mmmm12COzone5 the countertops are called satinato quartzite in my invoice.. but when i google it, i dont find it really looks like any of the pictures online haha. thank you!

Where did you get your lights? I can't tell what the shade looks like. The ceramic floor tiles are beautiful. Very pretty colors.

It's lovely. New and fresh are always welcome. It would be interesting to know how often that vanity is used. Given there are two sinks one supposes it's a much used room..not where I would want another member putzing over hair/make up if I NEEDED a shower etc. The lack of color is jarring. The photos look like they were taken with black and white film. LOL

I absolutely love what you did! The makeup vanity area is perfect! It looks like you used MOP tiles in your shower accent (loving the sparkle), the floor tile is quiet and not "oatmeal". All very understated and classic. Great job!

@arcy_gw well i am an artist and i do plan on painting a large picture to put on the empty wall, as well as putting a painting over the towel rack.. i just cant seem to pick a color yet. any suggestions?

@Z Y the white tiles are from lowes in two different sizes, they're called satorini white glossy tile. The center accent tile is from home depot: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Ivy-Hill-Tile-Pacif-White-Shells-11-81-in-x-11-81-in-x-2-mm-Pearl-Shell-Mosaic-Tile-EXT3RD102059/300915818 i got the cabinets custom made.. which really wasnt that expensive considering...
