Not what you’re asking for but I have a tushy and am a convert! Every person should have a bidet!! Although I got one that has an option for heated water, by running hot water, tap a little bit before you start, I actually don’t bother with that very much.

Great name. Yes, I think it is what Im looking for although in my case the remote is a nice feature, depending on which side of my body is nonfunctional.

Everyone who has a bidet loves them. My brother had a fancy Toto in his last house and I swear it did everything but salute you when you walked in the bathroom, but maybe it didi!

I’m on my second one. The first was an Inax which was then sold to American Standard. It began leaking after about 6 years. I replaced it with a Toto. I think the model is a C-100, pretty close to the bottom of the line but it does what it is supposed to do. I convinced DD and DSIL to buy one too. Then I bought one for their guest bathroom. Are you seeing a pattern here?

DD said when TP was scarce, they were so glad they had their Toto.

DD and DSIL went on a rafting trip in the Grand Canyon recently. It was pretty rugged. DD said when they got home, the first time DSIL came out of the bathroom he said he had really missed his Toto. (TMI??)

can you tell me which tushy model you have please.

We have installed Tushy bidets in our home. The first one is attached to the hot water so that the bidet is warm. Supposedly. The second one is simply cold water, sounds like a shock to the patootie but it really doesn’t bother me. I cannot ever imagine not having this little device in our home.

We bought the Brondell during the pandemic when TP was scarce, and it was one of our best pandemic purchases. Not only save on TP but much gentler on your backside. We have the 1400. It was not cheap but it is excellent. can control temperature of water and move the nozzles as needed. Has a remote. It was easy to install. Just requires an outlet nearby and hookup to water.

One of my regrets when we built our house was not installing electrical outlets near the toilets to make it easier to install bidet seats. Actually, I should have just had bidet seats installed from the start!

I have a choice between air dryer or no air dryer. Is that feature useful?

I do not use it. However, I have a friend who wanted to know about it. I timed it. It takes 4 minutes on my Toto to be reasonably dry after washing.

I've never even had the opportunity to use one but I'd really like to try. You might find some helpful info on this Consumer Reports article. More options than I've ever considered - including a night light and pressure sensitive seats.

I have that light for my toilet. I keep it on normal light. Mostly it was for DH to see better at night. Until this thread, I didn’t realize I have so many toilet related gadgets. 🙄

Once you have used a bidet, you won't want to go without one. My son's fiance used one when touring Japan, and she insisted he get one in his apartment during grad school. Our son asked us to consider at least one in our house when he was here over the holidays. We did, and now have one in every bathroom and our other son has them in his house too. Anyone can use one of these -- no electricity needed, but the optional T-valve can be helpful for adjusting water pressure and turning water offwhen needed.

@lyban - tushy spa! It’s bare bones but it gets the job done. If you don’t have easy access to the hot water line you can get the cheaper unheated tushy.

Air dry is excellent! It is like taking your behind through the deluxe car wash.

Based on recommendation from Ded tired, I bought the Bio Bidet by Bemis Slim Three Smart Bidet Toilet Seat, Elongated, White from Amazon last week. It arrived yesterday, and I installed it today. It was $250 when I bought it, but I had an online coupon (from a Firefox add-on) for 10% off, and so it was $225. However, when I checked www.biobidet.com, I found that it was $200 if bought from the company, but I guess that did not include shipping. Anyway, it is now $319 at Amazon, just a week after I bought it. I do not know why the price suddenly jumped by $69, but I'm glad I bought it when I did.

I like the heated water setting - I set mine on medium, and it is just right, but it could be set hotter.

Installation was a bit of a pain, as the instructions (including the Youtube video) were not as complete as they should have been, but I managed anyway. Other people (from reviews) had the same problem with the top mount rubber anchors and were not able to install them, but I just squeezed them and forced them in.

One thing they do not tell you is that the plug is grounded and has three prongs. Fortunately, I already had a grounded extension cord that I could use, as I do not have an outlet right next to the toilet. My W/C in Cathedral City does not have an outlet at all, and so I would not be able to use this bidet there.

My one criticism of this bidet is that the water pressure could be a bit greater, but maybe there is a control for this that I have not found yet.

Anyway, I would like to thank Dedtired for this recommendation!

ETA: I found the control for water pressure, and it is very good now. I keep it set on medium or between medium and high.

I looked at the plastic coating instruction sheet (that has a suction cup so that it can be attached to a wall) and noticed that the water pressure can be adjusted, and so I will have to try that.

The rubber anchors work great, and I love them, but tell your son that he will have to squeeze the "ball" in them in order to force them through the holes in the toilet. The balls are bigger than the holes, but they are hollow and can be sort of folded in on themselves to get them through the holes.

Incidentally, I have written a lot of instructions for installations for lighting fixtures that I have designed and people (especially architects in NY) have thanked me for being so thorough in my instructions. Clients in L.A. thought that my instructions were TMI, and they possibly did not read all of them. I always read instructions thoroughly whenever they are provided.

As my mother in law would say, when all,else fails, read the directions.

No, not really. This is before we got the short extension cord. Now it goes behind the toilet.

I used to go to Japan on business fairly often and liked using these features (and was always amused by the accompanying symbols on the controls). A few times I have been in homes with a separate fixture, and many hotels of course. Now I am curious where the nearest outlets are!

I just installed a Luxe Neo. Why did I wait so long!! I wish I had gotten a bidet sooner. Total game changer!

I’m surprised that no one has mentioned how great one of these bidets are for occasional hemorrhoid symptoms. A cold water rinse is a game changer!
