verticle slats at the front door to replace the wrought iron. I'd go all the way to the edge of the front door overhang.

I would either remove the bushes & hedge plants or trim them very low, so you can see the house. is there a window behind either of the shrubs?

Its a very pretty ranch style house. Not all ranch houses are mid century. I would try to keep it true, to what it is, and just make a few improvements.

Does the brick have gray in it? I think you can do a darker roof and take a color cue from that.

I would remove some of theyews and add other flowering bushes and add a row of low growing plants for more texture and color.

I like the iron posts and would not chnage them other than to coordinate the color.

Don't attempt to make the house something it isn't. It is a lovely ranch house...sharing one of my favorites for inspiration.

Gray roof, interesting windows/color, landscaping...gorgeous. If you click on the photo you can get a glimpse of the garage.

This is a beautiful ranch house. Houses are what they are. If you want a midcentury house, find one and buy it.

I would paint the brick

It already is a MCM ranch style get a MCM front door and garage door and then go to work on the landscaping. This is one of my faves for inspiration on a MCM ranch . Note the front and garage doors too Please do not paint the brick unless you want to instantly devalue the house .
