Anyone have experience with Blanco Silgranit kitchen sinks?
Comments (23)If you google silgranit sinks a list of sites will come up for you to check like faucetdirect.com, homeandstone.com, etc. I got my sink from faucetdirect.com and my ss sink grid from irawoods.com kaidan-Once I decided on my faucet (Kohler Forte) I went online to check the specs and the max. thickness was listed. My granite was the 3 cm/slightly more than 1 1/2" thick. Think the faucet specs stated 1 3/4" max. thickness ok so if you added in the extra thickness of the Diamond back lip might be over the 1 3/4" max. With some faucet models you can order an extender which would then work. HTH....See MoreSink strainer for Blanco Silgranit Sink
Comments (27)Hi everyone -- I'm so sorry, I let this thread get away from me after asking for a clarification! I really appreciate all the pictures of your granite sinks. I am still strongly leaning toward warmfridge's anthracite cascade sink. I don't really know why I'm so taken with the sink but it seems to be some weird emotional thing... I can just tell that's the sink I will end up buying though I can't really justify it at all; it just seems like what a sink should be to me. It's a darn good thing those who have it seem to like it, though I doubt I'd like it so much if I'd been reading negative reports. Thanks for the context-pictures....See MoreBlanco Silgranit drop in Kitchen sink but undermounted
Comments (5)I wish I knew how to post the pics. I was unsure about the undermount, until the Cambria installer came to make the template, he had a glack silgranit sink in his truck, after looking at it in the sunlight, I was hooked, this is a beautiful sink. But very worrisome and iffy on the undermount install. He told me he had never had one complaint on the many had had done. After two days of back and forth on my part, he said "just do it, you will love it". So, I did it. And I have not regretted it, it is beautiful. Wish I was not such a dummy when it comes to uploading the pics....See MoreBig crack silgranit sink
Comments (12)Well, I think I've solved the issue. Most reviews are so positive for this sink, but I was ready to switch to SS this morning. Then, I've been in touch with someone named Denise from customer service at Blanco, and she has been great. Took pics she requested of the looong crack, the serial # on the under side of the sink, and pic of the only receipt we had which was from the contractor we'd used, not from the supplier of the sink. The sink is back ordered a week, and since locally they were back ordered even further, she took my info & will send the sink directly here. We'll have the same contractor install the new one...sigh. The sink is kind of "bowed" shaped on the side (we have an over mount), and the stainless sinks were not the same configuration, so she was concerned about the fit. SO, after working on this all morning in my robe, I decided to go for the easiest solve, and hopefully this one will hold up better. At least Blanco was responsive and helpful in solving the issue. Not sure if I would go with the Silgranit if I were starting all over, but they do get great press and our contractor says he has put in many & everyone seems satisfied. Thanks everyone.......See MoreJoseph Corlett, LLC
