Entry Rug - Suggest away!!
Comments (7)All the suggestions are lovely, really. I think in my mind I was picturing something lighter but reality is, I am probably good with the navy background. I can't remember where I got this rug but it was something online from way back and I believe it is Karastan. I most likely found the store on here (maybe rugs usa or one of those that has been around forever) and it is wool and was really quite reasonable. so maybe I will leave well enough alone. I will bombard you all though with a few other pressing needs as you always rise to the occasion....See MoreEntryway rug or rugs?
Comments (12)How about a very practical half-circle rug for the doorway entry, but a real rug, not a doormat, and then another rug in front of the chest? I don’t think they need to be important rugs, either of them, and best if they don’t match. Just that they don’t claSh. Maybe the rug in front of the hall chest coulf pick up the firey hue of the lamp beyonD. If I can come up with an example I’ll post a pic....See MoreTable suggestions for entry and hallway
Comments (6)Your rug is pulling the space down into drabness. Needs some pizazz! How daring are you? You don't have to go this far, but you still have a way to go if you want pizazz. Repeat the gold from your art. Some people love color! Or go a bit more exotic... For high traffic, this one is indoor/outdoor with a more traditional look...See MoreArt suggestions for entryway
Comments (23)I can't believe I am saying this as an artist, but I think a tall brass framed mirror would be more useful in the entry way as this is your drop zone. I like both pieces of art but if they are displayed together the frames should be unified. Easiest way would be to paint the black frame gold or brass to tie to the other brass fixtures. You could get a larger mat and frame for flower to make both frames the same width. Then you could put the dancers on the top to be at eye level. They have lighter line weight and the flower has heavier color which would be better on the bottom. Maybe a plant as in Maureen's photo could fill the gap between art and the jar, or elevate jar on stack of books or a box....See MoreRelated Professionals
