Entry Rug - Suggest away!!
Btw, I am going to be asking for LOTS of decor help getting this new -to -us downsized townhouse - to my liking.
The rug I have in the entry way is the same one I have had for probably about 20 years, and it looks fine but I feel like I could use a change.
We mostly use the garage entry, but we do use the front door so would love to change it up some. We also have a dog who is pretty respectful of property and all, but let' s be real. We do walk him in the rain and we are not gentle people.
This is what I have currently- it is just shy of 4 by 6.
and this is the general scheme of things.
Anxiously awaiting suggestions........and trust me I mayb be bombarding this site with pleas for help. lately I just can't seem to make a decision and I am growing more impatient with the surroundings. (the rug is a little thing but maybe it will inspire me to get started)

Comments (5)Yeah!! I got some replies! I was afraid I phrased it in a way that frightened people off. I really do like the idea of brickwork done in an interesting way. The patterns are something I need to research more to get some more pics. HI mmoodyrn! I am apoligize for knocking folks that have the stonework, I just find my eyes really loving the allover single exterior. Maybe that is why I am so loving the pic sent by eventhecatisaboy. Trying to translate what that house has going on into my home. That house is interesting for another reason because I had just posted about bricks being laid slightly uneven in places - mimicking stacked stone which this house does have kind of, though it is more of a spaced out pattern. Comments (12)How about a very practical half-circle rug for the doorway entry, but a real rug, not a doormat, and then another rug in front of the chest? I don’t think they need to be important rugs, either of them, and best if they don’t match. Just that they don’t claSh. Comments (9)As someone who just went thru the rug ordering ordeal, have you looked at Am**on? They have rugs of all different dimensions. I just saw one that was 4 x 4 which could be interesting at the front door, I also saw several that were 3.5 foot x 5. What style are you looking for?...See More

5 years agolast modified: 5 years agoIt's hard to make a suggestion because your current rug is so beautiful! I just looked at Ballard designs and saw this one. I think it would be gorgeous with your antique furniture piece and your floor. It would hide some sins.
