Comments (10)We are probably about a week past the actual peak, but still having lots of bloom. Mantis, it has plenty of heat here, but it is a humid miserable heat...maybe it likes the humidity. Thanks you, Sugar Daddy always seems to show a lot of bloom...I am not always crazy about whites, but I do like this one. Brad, The first of May, so it has been going on for about six weeks now. It's always this way. Mine starts early and by the time everyone else is in high gear, I'm on a fast downhill slide for blooms. Thanks you, Bob. We are hot and sunny...mid 90s. Comments (12)Mantis, I received SAUCY VIXEN as a bonus plant in 2012 and it performs better than the plant that I ordered. It has increased at a reasonalble rate. You are definitely south of me , Maybe it was a combination of things not just the plants themselves. although I am growing in really crappy Appin blue clay, a very heavy heavy clay . Very much like the kind of clay you make things with in a kiln. Actually ,through the historic society , I found out that at the road at the end of our property , 100 years ago there was a kiln there that they used to make the clay drain tiles the farmers used back then .
