I tried it and it's weird. I went for the visual clue and had no idea what it was and now that I solved it, have no idea what it was or what it had to do with the answer.

Perhaps the visual clue is not the best clue, in spite of their reommendation of it. Like Annie, I have no idea of what that clue is supposed to be, nor how it could be relevant to the answer in any way, shape or form. But I do like word games, and will give this one another try on another day, without using a visual clue.

Well, I always thought I had a good imagination, but even seeing the answer, I can't figure out what in thunderation the visual is supposed to be or how it relates to the answer. Someone please explain!

I used the "how many letters" clue and got it on the 3rd try. Now I see the visual in this thread and it does apply.

Anyway, thanks rob - I like it too, even tho I forfeited points to solve it. My first guess was 'sauce' - wrong! I decided I didn't care about getting the highest score - I like that it has all those options 😁

P.S.I was also just at the supermarket, perusing the case of frozen chicken nuggets, etc., so maybe that helped...?

I wasn't trying to upset anyone's sensabilities. I truly was not trying to be crass. Most word games are too easy for me, and I loved that it pushed me to my limits. But alas, the puzzle is also limited. Or so it says.

(And why I almost never proofread posts. Doing it all day long, does not inspire me to do it any other time)

So that red stuff must be ketchup (or "chili crisp"!) I did not know people put ketchup on chicken nuggets.

Thanks, FOAS. I haven't seen a chicken nugget up close and personal in almost 20 years, and don't think I've ever had them in my house. And if they really do look like this picture, I'm glad of it! :^) So it makes sense that I didn't recognize the picture.

Whoever designed this game fancies themselves an artist but they are definitely not. LOL

The Oatmeal is cartoon site and the puzzles appear to be based on some of the cartoons.

Looks like being familiar with the cartoons makes it easier to solve the words.
