Interesting...my 98 yr old bedridden friend enjoys my photos when I bring them, but I'm not sure her vision is good enough or if she'd notice the pictures change if I gave her one...but I've been pondering it...I'll keep pondering. A lot of her family is all pretty far away and they could send her pictures as well...

My DD gave me an Aura four or five years ago, and it's my most favorite gift. I put lots of photos of the good old days when my now adult children were little as well as current photos. The joy that comes from a random photo reminding me of a science fair project twenty years ago is almost indescribable. Completely love it.

We gave Mom a digital picture frame when she was in hospice. She enjoyed looking at the photos during the day. Wasn't a fancy version like the two mentioned. I think they make great gifts,

I have an Aura too and love it!!!!! Love seeing new pics from family appear, and easy

to add some of my own if and when I want. We have a combination...older pics for

great memories pop up right along with new ones taken a few minutes before it

shows up.

It displays all my photos from my camera roll.

Opps, I'd have to curate that a bit better or I'd be looking at an accidental picture of the floor, an entire collection of the specific items I've asked someone to pick up at the grocery store, and a catalogue of weird bug bites.

Haha, yes, Mtn, sometimes I see odd photos from my husband of renovation projects. Close ups of pipes and what not!

I;m a dinosaur and not comfortable with a lot of the new ( to me anyway) tech but this seems like I would really enjoy it. DH has our photos scrolling on the tv in his mancave and on his computer and I do enjoy catching glimpses when I;m looking.

Salonva - I am not a tech wiz. The kids set it all up while we were having dessert and I haven't had to touch it since except to dust. To send photos from my iPhone I just tap the Aura app - press Add Photos - and then pick one from my phone. So easy even I can do it.

Y'all have some pretty tame versions of pictures they don't want displayed!

The kids gave me an Aura last Christmas. Mine holds lots of granddog pictures. I like that I can delete pictures easily from the app when needed.

with the Aura frame, you can share the app with your family. you can see whatever pic happens to be on display on the frame at that moment, or surprise them by uploading your own pics to it. my MIL has one and we love it because she keeps scanning and uploading old family pics that we haven't seen before. we're able to download photos to our phones if we see one we want to keep. it has been an unexpectedly great source of entertainment.

we haven't been using facebook very much anymore, so this has been a fun (and private) new way to share photos.

Our kids got us the Sky Light frame. I can email pics to it as can all my kids and their spouses. I love it!

i have one that I had given to my old mom when she went ot assisted living. But she was not really tech savvy enough to use it. Now I have it back and no real use for it. I can do much the same with letting my desk top computer automatically show a slideshow from my photos app.

Claudia -I have mine set up in my kitchen, so it’s just kind of a random little spot of joy while cooking or scrubbing….

DD and SIL gave us a Nixplay digital frame for Christmas. ☹️ The longest setting for a photo to display is one hour. I would prefer to keep a photo up for a week or two—- at least a day. It had access to all my photos, which I had to restrict bc I was seeing photos of QR codes for Amazen returns, event tickets, faucet drips, etc. The process of going through thousands of pictures to select just those I want to see is counterproductive because if i do that, I HAVE seen them. The kids can upload pictures to it, but I’d rather get those straight to my phone. In the bedroom it is far too bright at night and I haven’t played around with the app to see if it can dim on a timer. I guess I feel that if it is really a ”smart” frame it would know to sleep at night! I just don’t like it. Or them, this is the second one we’ve had.

Got one for my mom a few years ago, also Nixplay. She just didnt get it andhervision wasnt very good. Good ideafor the right person, though .

Our daughter got us one for Christmas. Love it! It has it's own email address so both our kids can send pics directly to it.
