Living Room Decor ideas, how to fill in corner, curtain colors??

Hello trying to dress up the walls and empty spaces around my living room. I’ve ventured to the blue, brown, yellow orange vibes. I def like the tropic feel and think will insert a large plant and my sun mirror in here but there a whole corner spot no idea what to do. I was thinking an entry dresser or whatever it called but not sure what else? Any ideas appreciated. Thanks

Color can transform the way a room feels. This is a nice inspiration photo to begin thinking about what colors you would like to surround yourself with. Be daring! You can always repaint. A gallery wall surrounding your TV would look great.

Thanks for the ideas. We are renting so I don’t think we are allowed to paint the walls the rental company and owners seems pretty strict about things so far. Let alone we prob wouldn’t spend the time doing it since it’s not our forever home. I def like the gallery wall idea. Not sure if want to do around the tv or on the wall across from it with an entry table 🤔 prob will stick with adding Curtains with pop of color and other room decor

You have a nice space, lots of lights, i don’t blame you for not getting rid of those couches, i have the same ones (without the recliner) in my livingroom and they are so comfy, saddly i dont have any recommendations for you as im having the same dilemma as i don’t know how to decorate my living room, i also want a big rug but i want it big, cream color and fluffy but with 2 kids and a chihuahua i dont know if i want to deal with the mess, snacks all over the pretty rug, my pet pee...sigh

Gabriella, a history of your comments shows that you're mostly interested in promoting the replica MCM chairs and sideboards sold at a NYC furniture store. You wouldn't happen to work there or own the store, or be friends or partners (personally or professionally) with someone who is, would you? Also, there have been more than a dozen BBB complaints in the past three years about the store you've been recommending, which I would find problematic if I were looking to buy something there. If you're trying to do native advertising/produce placement, you have to be less clunky and obvious about it. For example, not suggesting MCM furniture when the OP states a preference for farmhouse style.

Thank you all so so much for all of the helpful advice! I think I have an idea of what colors and layout I’m going to go with. After going back and forth with my husband and moving furniture around for days, I think we’ve decided to keep the original layout, but we tweeked it a bit. I’ve ordered 132 inch White draped with black rod for windows. A black and white floor lamp, and a large black and white canvas for the large wall. I know it may seem colorless, but I figure I can always change out pillows . I still think I can add some subtle natural wood elements here and there. Everything should be here in the next few weeks so I’ll post what I have at that point. I may need a few more ideas! Also, look out for a post soon on exterior paint color ideas. We will need to be very creative with that budget. But it’s great you are thinking about it together now, because with a master plan you can add items as funds allow. We might want to keep your style to a “transitional” look and rely on accessories for punching up different looks. I would start with sofa, rug and one or two chairs plus a sofa table and arc lamp for living room. What do you need for bedroom? Dining room?

You can bring in color in picture matting and drapes. I’d prefer the gallery wall surroundingn the TV, because it takes away the focus from the big black screen in the room.
