Consult a window treatment professional to visit in-home and advise treatment on all windows. Consistent style will help. Such person can advise on privacy vs openness. Regarding the rest od decor. Once you have decided on window treatment take a cue for complimentary accessories from colors you love (look in your closet). I would purchase an ottoman in a patterned fabric and add a tray in front of sofa, bring chairs and sofa into a conversational group. Look at options to reupholster one of the chairs in the same patterned fabric. A good size floor plant will add variety and may be easier to care for than the philodendren.

@Didi Thanks for posting all the pics - helps so much to see the space. It’s a nice & light filled home! Because the dining area windows can be seen in the open room, I’d suggest same blind treatment for both windows. The drapes can still be over the blinds too. Does either window need privacy or light control? Do you want drapes + blinds or blinds only? If Blinds only I’d suggest wide slat faux wood blinds. They have a piece for top that covers the blind header so it looks finished & the blinds can be tilted for light control, completely open or closed. Drapes can be hung or a fabric valance too but the blind alone is a nice clean look, Otherwise, the choices of blind types are endless. Is the light from skylight a problem heat or sunwise? Motorized solar blinds can be mounted inside the skylight chute to fix that.

What is on the entry door wall?

I would move the sofa to that wall and bring the two leather chairs on to the area rug.

with another rug centered in front of the FP. I'd leave the patio doors free to walk up to. Put that basket/credenza under the tv.

Is the sideboard in the dining room for dishes? if not, I would move it to the living room

I prefer the rug in the sofa area which brings the conversation area together. Looks odd in the dining area from the bit I can see.
