@chloebud, Thanks for that photo! I went out my front porch this morning to look at the San Gabriel Mountains, and they are indeed covered with snow, and so I photographed them. This is the most snow I've seen on them that I can remember.

Lake Powell, Utah, April 17th 1987. Apparently I wrote the date in the ledger at the front of the photo album all those years ago. I was riding with an ex boyfriend cross country so I could fly to Germany, to my new duty station. I picked Pennsylvania because he wanted to see family in Florida, visit Graceland in Memphis and after dropping me off he was going to Niagra Falls. I also stopped to visit an old friend and her family in Virginia. Anyway, look at that water level! I was so proud of this picture I had it blown up, along with another of a forest taken somewhere in Tennessee. Had them both framed and now I don't know what happened to them. I vaguely remember giving at least one of them to one of my brothers.

A local man in Costa Rica was explaining to our driver how to drive across a stream! This saved us 2 hours getting to our next town.

Winter in South Florida is beautiful. Some people think we don’t really have seaons but here is my winter blooming bush. The first flowers came around Thanksgiving this year. You can see the naked oak behind it as proof of our very brief fall. Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow always ready with Christmas flowers for me.
