Comments (7)Thank you all. After I got the quilts made I started looking through some of the old Barbie Doll clothes that I have had since I was a little girl, some of which my mom made. My sister did not want to store her Barbie clothes, so I kept them and stored them with mine. It's just fun to look through them and recall the memories they bring back. Best to you, Sandra...See MoreDoll Quilt Picture

Comments (3)Now, surely don't. That's precious by the way. I do, hanging on my sewing room wall, have a crazy quilt block I found in my mother's fabric stash. It was no doubt obtained in an auction, in a group of fabrics she would have purchased with the intention of quilting. On it is the date 1918 and it's unfinished. I'll get a pic of it and post it, just for grins....See MoreAre you quilting this weekend? April 29-May 1

Is this your first trip there or a return visit? I'm so sorry that all the work of disposing of your mom's house is falling on you. We did that in 2009, but my sister and brother also helped. Sharon, I've had the 2.5" and 4" squares all cut for months now. Sometimes I just sit and work up the fabric combinations without sewing at all. I have started sewing two a a time. That does help. I haven't timed it, but I bet I can get two done in 45 minutes. I suppose if I did four at a time, I would save a little more. I'll just have to be very organized so I don't get confused. Trimming all those hourglass squares does take a lot of time too. Sue, I can't believe all the snow you're getting in Colorado. We have kids in Denver, so I follow the area weather....See More
