Bathroom color with Carrara colors
I’m driving myself nuts trying to pick a color for my new primary bathroom. The floor tile is Carrara-look porcelain, as is the vanity top, and the wall tile in the shower and the vanity are white. Shower floor is gray marble look. Plumbing fixtures are polished nickel. I feel like I made a mistake choosing a warm finish for the faucets, etc. with these tiles.
The room has a western exposure, which might make a blue-gray wash out until the sun comes around to that side of the house. To add to the confusion, I like warm greens and my husband likes blue. The floor tile has blue-ish purple-ish veining. Vanity has a bit of warmth in the veining but mostly cool. Any help is most appreciated.
Here is a photoshop of the elements going in. It was a full gut so we’re still in the sheetrocked stage so no photos of the completed job. The shower fixture and lav faucets are warmer than the ones in the photo.

Comments (23)Thank you so much to everyone for the advice. That's what I was afraid of...too many elements. It's an older home and I want to keep the "charm" of an older space. I was planning to use honed black granite for the counter tops. It's going to primarily function as a kid's bathroom. I am using the antique brick in a few other areas of the house. I recognize the riskiness here, but was hoping it would come across with a charm that is original to the home. The antique brick blends better with the other elements in the home than the carrara does. I'm still not sure how to bring it all together. I know that the white porcelain is timeless. Will the carrara/black and white bath be outdated, considering it's been such a popular choice the last couple of years? What about the subway tiles? Comments (2)I've worn a groove between my house and the local Home Depot buying, trying, and returning different light bulbs. I cannot abide cool lights regardless of the decor and colors, inside or outside my house. Only you can decide. Buy different colors, save your receipt, and return what you don't like. Comments (1)I like a soft gray grout with cararra especially on the floor where a white grout gets grubby no matter how clean you are so that should work . Comments (13)It is difficult to perceive true colors on a computer monitor - so you ill need to make the final choice. Here are some basket weave floors. There a several companies that make it and in some different color tone variations, so be sure that the wall tile and floor are working well together. You might want to get a sample of the SW Sea Salt and paint a large piece of foam board to set your samples on and look at it in different lighting. The Sea Salt can change colors in different lighting. I think you are thinking of the white ice up the walls, like a wainscot: I have mosaic tile floors, though not the basket weave as it wasn't out when I did mine, and white subway tile walls in two of my bathrooms and plan to do the same in my master someday. They remain more timeless looking than my master, done in early 2000's. I did a decorative trim in one bathroom, and a simple bullnose in the other. last yearI know colors don’t translate well to device screens, but I use them as a general guide to color differences when I’m using actual sample pots to test colors. This is an inspiration photo for a color I’d like to use, but no description of the paint used. Forgot where I found it, I’ve looked at hundreds of photos.
BM Smoke looks similar
As does Pale Smoke which has more green in it and may be a better match.
