3-tier Lazy Susan?

Has anyone ever seen a 3-tier Lazy Susan (LS) for a base cabinet? I've only seen them in ~18" sizes for upper cabinets...I'd like to store Tupperware in mine but want a 3rd level (I hate stacking!).

i grew up w a 3 tier lazy susan ......full circle......in a diagonal base corner cab whch allowed a nice deep corner counter for the baking we did at the time....[mom and kids].....the tupperware she had was square containers and she stacked them as shown below........quite a bit of freezing of home made things.......they occupied about a fifth of one of the tiers w lids too. In these times I dont know where people put tupperware.....I prefer zip lock freezer bags but here is a roll out cabinet which in my childhood was not available. I liked the 3 tier susan....it held a bunch... you can still do lazy susan of a variety of types or this roll out system....or place the tupperware in a base drawer. I dont know why you say you dont stack the tupperware.

rev a shelf provides this sort of thing. I didnt see a 3 tier for under counter.....they space the tiers equally as a standard offering so for more custom spacing to add another tier you may have to search. But there are other places you can create to "stash the tupperware " now also.

We used to keep plastic storage on a lazy susan, and it was a pain in the neck. When we remodeled our kitchen, we specified a drawer for that purpose, and it was game changing!

Our current house doesn't have a lot of drawer space, so we have storage containers (plastic and glass) in upper cabinets. I find it much more efficient to use the lazy susan for canisters of dry goods.

Late to the game! First, I agree about running the cabinet to the end of the wall rather than a corner cab...to me, corner cabs that just hang there w/no other upper cabinets on both sides look "off". Second, I also agree the cabs at the end of the peninsula should end "short" of the peninsula end, but I don't think it has to be 12" short. Our upper cabinets end approx 1" b/f the base cabinets do and then there's a 1.5" overhang over the base cabs...so the upper cabs end approx 2.5" before the peninsula as a whole does. We have had no problems with bumping into the upper cabs and we use that peninsula for food staging, baking, etc. Our Pet Center is next to the wall facing out and still no issues with the upper cabinets. I would suggest stopping maybe 3" from the end, but no more. Third...your cooktop & sink proximity...they are very, very close to each other with virtually no workspace b/w them. I very, very strongly suggest moving that 3-drawer stack that's currently to the left of the cooktop to the other side of the cooktop. That would at least give you a little bit of work space. Last...the base corner susan you have in the peninsula. Consider, instead, a 27" wide cabinet turned 90 degrees so it faces out instead. It is a better use of space than a corner susan and much, much better than a blind corner cabinet. That would allow you to move that drawer base to the right of the cooktop (suggested previously) and still have a 12" or so wide set of drawers or a tray/cutting board cabinet to the left of the cooktop. Here's mine...with the upper cabinets and a cabinet turned 90 degrees. Pet Center is the base cabinet on the left that has a drawer on top. The doors on the right are decorative doors only. This is what it looks like from the "inside"... (I now store my KA mixer in that corner. I use that peninsula as part of my "Baking Center".)

We are getting a carpenter to build us Super Susans. I am sure you can find one too. We are making sure that he makes the circle as big as possible to avoid wasting space, and to avoid that black hole where things can fall off. By having your turntable on a fixed shelf, nothing can fall down below (could fall off the turntable if you spin too fast, but it's less likely). With the pole type LS, because the shelves often aren't perfectly level, ie because of weight issues they can tip, and things are more likely to fly off. Think about it, if you have a spice turntable (I have a rubbermaid plastic one that I think I paid 50 cents for at a garage sale), it lays flat on the shelf, and nothing flies off, and those are just small bottles. So, have a turntable on a solid shelf, make the circle as big as possible, and build up the sides a few inches, I think you can learn to like Susan.

Oh, thanks for the explanation. That makes so much sense. What a cool idea. I'm going to visit there to see what other unique ideas they have. Looking at those prices, then figuring out how many times you'll reach for storage in that corner over the years, you're talking pennies, maybe even fractions of a penny, per each time you access stuff there. YES, money will spent if they allow you to find what you need quickly and easily. Also think of the seconds you'll save each time you use them and, if time is money.....right? And less aggravation, too. I'm sold.

I have two super Susans. One has stacked mixing bowls and small prep appliances (blender, processor, chopper, and extra French press). The other has large baking and cooking items, e.g., Dutch ovens, pasta pot and colander. In my previous house, I had pantry/food items in a similar cabinet, and I found it to be too many items to be able to keep track of and easily access. I prefer having big things in those cabinets because I can spin the turntable around and access almost every item from the "front". Then there's one item in the middle of each turntable.

Here's mine, staggered shelves with an after-market turntable that I added to the bottom floor of the cabinet.

I keep the bulk of my storage containers in an upper cabinet over the prep area, with the lids stacked vertically to one side like books on a bookshelf. I use Pyrex instead of plastic and I have to admit that I have to nest the Pyrex to conserve space, which is a pain, but necessary in my small kitchen.

As you can see, my lazy Susan holds so much stuff, but it's not stuff I have to reach for constantly, whereas my storage containers are used multiple times per day, and so it makes sense for me to keep those items handy in an upper cabinet over my prep area.
