I would use a tan / khaki color for all trim and the aluminum awnings. Then I would paint the front door a lighter tan and put a tan or tan/green/stripe awning over the front door. sorry, I found a darling picture of a brick house almost exactly like yours with a round-top awning over the front door but cannot post it for some Houzz-related malfunction.

Like the pergola over the garage door idea. If built to be sturdy enough to walk on it, then it could serve as a fire escape route should the need ever arise -- certainly hope it never does. You might also consider painting your step rails and side supports the same color as your siding unless you're planning to have a wood finish door and/or a rustic porch and post addition over the entry at a later date, in which case you'd want those additions to have the same wood finish. Sorry, didn’t finish because I went searching for an inspiration photo. Consider painting/staining the clapboard and the shingles the same color. You will be staining the shingles and painting the clapboard (recommend B.M. Exterior Soft Gloss), so the finishes will show differently, but the color the same. It’s the fish scale shingles I find so fabulous…those I would stain lighter. Trim all white and your door stays the same. I know it is more than you asked, but give it some thought. You need not paint the entire exterior, Start by painting the clapboard the same as the shingles and going light on the fish scales..
