Hi Lindie, I'm Tiffany. I visit gardenweb most days, but not always this particular forum. Just depends on my mood and time available. I'm in AL, just north of FL, moved here in 07 from OH and absolutely love it. Nobody is in a hurry, and there's something blooming all year. We often spend Saturdays or Sundays at the beach, or swimming in a nearby cold spring or spring-fed lake. We like camping, inviting tons of people over for a BBQ, exploring dirt roads to see what we can see, fishing, drive-in movies, canoeing, sitting around the fire - ours or somebody else's, kites... I've been to most states east of the Mississippi, Canada, Europe, but am also a homebody most of the time. I also like gardening (obviously,) cooking, cross-stitch and the gridded/geometric art associated with it, occasionally rearranging my seashell collection, reading about any type of fiction and non-fiction from areas of interest, driving my car on a beautiful day when time doesn't matter, watching the sun set, scrabble, and dancing if nobody is looking. I used to like skiing but there is no snow here, and hiking but am too afraid of encountering a poisonous snake to do that here. My daughter went to college this year, about an hour away, and I miss her but am glad she's doing well and having fun. I've met a very nice man here and am totally in love with him and his dog, and they moved in with my son and I earlier this year. He's smart, funny, fixes things, and does cool stuff like making a fire pit, bat house, tilling up a veggie patch, and mowing with the bag so the grass and leaves can go in the compost and on the beds. The fenced-in yard, central air, much bigger kitchen, and much more light from windows are why we decided on my house instead of his. There are a ton of lizards, skinks, squirrels, birds, and geckos that live here, an occasional armadillo, and various neighborhood cats and dogs that come to the yard to visit our dog. We've had a few hummingbirds and a ton of butterflies this year, they are always visiting the zinnias, lantana, basil, and plumbago. About a year before I met him, my oven quit working right - it would come on but not turn off when it reached the desired temp, it just kept getting hotter and hotter. Since I hardly ever used it, and 3 of the stove burners still worked, I didn't try to have it fixed or replaced. I was already much more of a toaster oven user, especially in the summer, when the thought of turning on anything that would create so much more heat is just unbearable! When he moved in here, his oven was one of the benefits (major or minor, depending on time of day and what I cooked for dinner - LOL!) It's just a basic one with coiled electric burners and it has a self-cleaning feature but hopefully that would never be needed. There's no dishwasher here, besides me, so it's rare that I would cook any meal without foil. And I've always lined my ovens with foil, and always put a sheet of it or a baking...

I was surfing through them today and noticed one member name that came up 3 different times...all spelled the exact same way. I think part of the problem might be with the 2 different search boxes. If one is told to do a search in the box found at the bottom of the page, they will get all posts for that member on ALL forums. Now as most of us veterans know, if one does a search in the search box found just below the list of 'threads' then the search can be narrowed to just searching the Rate and Review Forum. Possibly we should start a Suggestion (and crusade) to have to search box put up at the top of the page and it be just specifically for search results on the Review Forum. There is a search box at the top at the Pond Forum that will yield only the results for that forum. There is also one at the very bottom of the page which will yield posts for the whole site...very confusing. There was a suggestion about this b4 the Suggestion Box was emptied at the old Suggestion and 'comment' Forum. I agree...it is gonna be a real mess in time. Maybe it would help if when any of us see a second thread started for the same member, we post a link to the second one of them and maybe request that future posts be made to the thread that was started first....or you know what I mean...don't ya? Well the good news is that the plumbers showed up bright and early today to try to get started on the re-working. They soon discovered they needed a part or something and have headed to Lowes so who knows when they will be back. To give a bit more detail : When we saw the plumbing initially in the soffits a few weeks back we were alarmed. The contract was re-worded to include relocating a whole bunch of plumbing but to be honest plumbing terms are like Greek to us so we were still concerned. We cut several more holes (large ones) and had the contractor come over and look in them and say that what he was seeing was covered in the price he had quoted us. We actually did this 2 or 3 times before signing the contract just to be sure he saw all that needed to be done. He also had the plumber(the same one who is doing the work) come look at it before we signed the contract. However there is some wording in the conrtact that says that if plumbing issues are discovered that could not be viewed through the holes it could result in increased charges. This wording is what now scares me and now sounds too vague. I guess I will have to wait and see how today goes. When they were looking at it and the contractor came over to help solve the problems yesterday he made no mention to us about it costing us more but we didn't ask either. I was afraid to open up the possibility with him. By the way, they are already back. That was the shortest trip to Lowes I have experienced. I hope they got what they needed. Here we go!
