Amy: With the exception of Cooking Apple Green and Farrow's Cream, yes the fandex chip does match when held up to the walls, even though they seem very different separately. With the aforementioned colors, it's off. Maybe it's just my light. Jane, you shouldn't have to buy a quart of this stuff. They sell little sample cans that I found went very far and allowed me to do big swatches. Now with them, the only color that surprised me was Farrow's Cream, but that is in two large rooms and I think that that's why. No way a big swatch could have shown me what this color would really do. It's lovely though. F&B colors are tricky, no doubt, but beautiful. I'm just not sure they're going to work for matching something. But if you're willing to go a shade lighter or darker so that you have something that is complimentary and looks beautiful together, then yes, it would be great. Citron is pretty yellow. Are you trying to go more yellow or less? Farrow's Cream is much more creamy than yellow, it also has the bizarre *hint* of olive in it, that only I and my Dad can see. It drove me nuts at first, but now that all my stuff is in the room, I've grown to really love it. Ask for the sample pots! I think they're $5 each, which is about what a C2 giant chip costs and that's about the size of swatch I got out of them. Ivette P.S. Definitely multiple coats change the color. But I found that to be true with all the paints I used, except for FPE. F&B in particular seems to benefit and grow more luminous with more coats. I deliberately did three coats in three rooms because of that, and I'm glad I did.

I don't know Sherwin Williams paint colors so I cannot say how any one would match to F&B. F&B All White is their brightest, whitest white without undertones if I recall correctly. What I do know is that most paint lines have an equivalent -- the brightest white. I would look at those from SW and from BM and others. A lot of the way any white will look depends on location. The same white paint will look much different in Texas, where the light is very strong and New England where it may look more gray due to the light. Noon has the brightest daylight. I would suggest looking at paint samples then. Also in the a.m. and late afternoon. See which looks best to you at all times of the day.

That is beautiful! If you don't mind, can I ask if you used the low iron (starfire?) glass for your shower door or the regular glass? Our bathroom is basically done (except for painting, which is probably going to take me a month at the rate I am going!)....except for the last big decision which is the shower door. It's just a door (the rest of the shower is enclosed by walls) so you'd think it would be easy but there's so many choices. I like the way yours looks and doesn't seem to have a greenish tint....so I was wondering if you could tell me which type of glass it was. Thanks!

Natasha, haven't yet used the Tumax to create a trellis. Ran across these 20 years ago, found the idea intriguing & picked up a kit for a few dollars. Would think the structural strength would relate to the diameter gauge of the wire selected & the number of anchors used as support. Expect one of the multi-strand twisted or braided cable wires - in place of the galvanized wire roll that comes with the kit - would be much stronger & bear the weight of a mature rose. Since the wire is threaded through the loops that project from the anchors, would think how closely those anchors are spaced also figures into a weight capacity calculation. The tensile strength of the wire plus the number of anchors used along the line should yield a rule of thumb where the weight is distributed evenly along the span. Tumax may have this info with their professional kit instructions on their site - you might noodle around there to find it - or just contact them & ask for their load weight formula. Have used the anchors alone, without wires, as free form supports on a stone facade. Install them on the wall where they're needed as the rose grows & loosely figure eight tie the canes to the anchor eyelet. The anchors are hidden behind the plant. Gives a pleasant natural effect to my eye, as if the rose is doing it all by itself. (Look Ma, no hands!) To allow sufficient space between the wall & the plant, often add another ring or length of rubbery plastic chain onto the eyelet & tie to that as the canes thicken, allowing me to use those spongy noodle ties or green velcro loops. Lenarufus, Nahema is a beauty with toe-curling fragrance. Your wall coloring sets her off to perfection. New here this year as a gallon own root, she's a real charmer. Good growing to all! Sue
